ok pete so with ur acewell and callibrating the speedo wat final number did you have?? as the book says with 17 inch wheel c1357 is the start point ? mine is way out aswell
so did you just measure the rolling cir and how did you go from there?

I used a soft/cloth type tape measure.
Lifted front wheel off the ground,
stretched it around tyre. KOSO was
very close on satnav / GPS 1st time.

Tony, the headlight Bob & Pete have is the same as mine. They produce good light for night riding. Even with the mask covering the centre section the beam out of the eye is pretty good. I do a bike of night riding on my fighter and have not had a problem.
In saying this, the angle of the headlight behind the mask matters a great deal. For exsample, if the mask face's the eyes down to point at the road just in front of your tyre and you do the same with the headlight behind, you will get shit results.
You allow a small space from mask to headlight and angle the headlight to shoot out and forward you will get a much better result.

Tried to see dad as often as I could when I was back in Brisvegas on break(FIFO of WA). My old man was a builder but liked to build steam engines and was pretty good on the lathe and mill. Him and his brothers started up a motorcycle club in the early 1950s so its not suprising that we all ride. Taught us heaps.
Thanks Tony.

good one Jules, ive drained my tank after i got home and have 100mils of petrol with about 2% of that being water ,as mine was playing up a few days before i left home ,im sure it was ,the suspect coil pack, in saying that the water wouldnt have helped.

right while bike was running today ,i grabbed the wiring harness and gave it a good pull ,what the fark ,bike jumped up onto 4 cylinders?,ok tank seat back off ,got out the olfa knife cut the harness open at various places ,found a broken power wire for the fan rubbing on the frame, checked all solder joint found the power for the low beam hanging by one thread of wire, the thought id take the battery and computer out ,look close at computer wiring ,a big red wire ,snapped off just sitting there, closer inspection showed it had been repaired in the past ,and has 3 inches of red wire soldered into it ,to make it longer, when i looked at the computer plug there was 2mil of bare wire hanging out of it,i managed to rejoin it with solder, the cable tied it tight to the wire next to it to stop movement,

Fucking infernal combustion engines.
I had a non starting problem on Suday with the monster. Starter wouldn't spin, had a good 12v, fuel pump primed when I turned her on, fuses all good, no holes in the ECU case. Started tracing the starter circuit, was just about to pull the low side from the starter when I realised it wasn't fully seated home. Pushed it back home and all was good.
Tho I reckon Pete if you had of starting off as trying to fix it as an electrical problem it would have been a fueling one.

well it only get worse ,went and kicked it over ,running on 2 and 4 only, got out the cylinder leak down tester, looks lik fucked inlet valve on 1 and 3 so anyone got a spare busa head
list of things replaced to chase down the problem
plugs and coils
tps sensor
and wiring opened ,which located a few broken wires, evlzx ,mate i cant answer that as i only added not chopped and changed ,
so il pull the motor out next weekend ,strip the bike to shit, powder coat a few things, i phoned a mate about rebuilding the head ,well its off with its head as valves come in at around $1000 ,then the labour to seat them ,etc, bullshit,
fuck dissapointted ! buy a busa bullet proof motors ,my arse my 1100w ran rings around the busa for reliability ,i put 50thou on that donk and changed the oil every 5k and only had 1 set of iridium plugs init in 5 yrs,the busa might be fast but you pay for it with reliability,3x sets of plugs in 4thou k,2 xoil changes ,and when you want to have a weekend away you get 11/2 days of riding then spend the 1 day riding 800k home with it jumping from 4cylinders to 2 cylinders ,rant over ,just very dissapointed ,ive only done 4k onit and ,well know its time to pull it down ,might hit ebay and buy another head, might roll it out of the shed and burn it ,

My current Busa has been on the road for over 5 years.
It get lots of abuse and very little maintainence other
than my unskilled numb nut attempts.
Last Busa would run 20+ low 10's and the drags on a Wednesday,
commute all week, chase sportsbikes on a weekend.
You get the odd one's in all makes and model run's.
Not found much tougher than a Busa.

It's been done. No real advantage other than a Gen2
B-King is likely to be newer, probably more expensive.
Some say Gen1 is a tougher engine, it has more meat
In the barrels and doesn't have titanium valves, Gen1
seems more suitable for boost? Gen2 makes a few more
Ponys stock but not a huge amount from what I've seen.
