The better RCS brembo stuff i think woulda only cost an extra maybe $200??
You can get lower spec brembo stuff for the same sort of coin.

Tried to order Renthal-789 bars in Brisbane.
Gave them the correct part number and
im happy to wait and get them ordered in,

Shop's insist on getting the Renthal book out and look suprised that they
cant find a fitting for a Hayabusa!
Blank looks and head scrathing.....

Tried to sell me dirtbike bar's, I explained the dirtbike dont have room for switchgear
and this puts the mastercylinder clamps too close to the first curve so the clutch/brake
lever wont pull in square-on. Something i've had previous issue's with,
More blank looks and head scratching.....

Retard behind counter stares at Renthal book,
They (789's) are not listed !
More blank looks and head scratching.....

Phone B&C "No problem Mate, they're on there way"

Yeah I know the feeling, I generally buy overseas, Sometimes even if it is only saving stuff all dollars (It all adds up) but I generally get better service & none of the my shit dont stink attitude, Sometimes the postage is just as quick too compared to trying to get something ordered in here in OZ, Especially when they turn round a week or 2 later & say they cant get what you ordered or they get the wrong part cause they did not have a clue what you were talking about, When I ring my local shop for the odd Kawasaki genuine part I quote the part number when I am pricing or ordering

Every now & then you find someone that knows what your talking about, These people list the streetfighter & even some other road style bars>

Starting to take on a different shape Pete but I agree with K6 the colour is just not working, Is that brown at the front & orange at the rear? & the headlight setup is probably just not helping?

Where did ya get the master cylinders? Nice but expensive bit of gear?

ahaha no its called tiger mica, its a holden colour from 2000,the other colour is lucifers orange thats a trumpy colour, and the black isfrm a 2008 nissan black with silver pearl,

Dan i need to use the bike at night time this is why i chose such a big headlight ,plus if youve seen a busa front on with nothing in front of the frame its a wide bitch.and a little set of lights just wouldnt cut it,

The h/light still doesn't do it for me, but as others said, you're the one who needs to like it.

Also, what's up with the wrap being white / black?

Paint is looking good, but I would have to see it in person to judge.

The busa is a hard bike to make look good. They're an ugly bulky bike to start off with.

right today was fun ,for the past few weeks the tip over sensor kept on shutting the bike off when i laid it into bends

so i pulled the t,o,s apart and fixed it , then got out the ohms wheel to work out how to turn off the fault codes flashing on my dash ,the bike doesnt have a fuel sender anymore ,so using the ohms wheel i determined that it needed 21 ohms to get the faults codes gone and the flashing red light to fuck off ,so i made this ,one end into the sender wire the other to the frame as an earth, also fitted up a new kill switch ,and throttle set up

Looks good, The shape flows nicely up to the frame & motor especially at the back

What colour is the bellypan going to be? Just do it all black to match the tail & be done with it, Maybe add another colour (Suzuki blue) here & there on the some parts?

Brown, Tan just does not suit a modern bike like that, Or any bike really IMO

I think it looks good? Cant really tell with them special effects? May as well do the rest black

Or do the back of the tank black & have the goldy colour at the front fade to black somehow? Maybe just paint the orangey bit black & go from the stripes you have there, Either way the orange is looking out of place with the gold now, Black & gold would look nice though

1,i like the feel of the engine
2, cutting the can and making it short ,means i lose all the engines torque
3, i have already try,ed it with a shorty ,it was hideous and went no were,
4, you rev the crap out of it and it does not go,
5, i am changing the tail soon and have diff plans for the exhaust,

NINJAINOZ
05-11-2012, 08:41 PM
I know more back pressure or the correct back pressure can increase the torque but your motor is also made to rev which im sure you do, Im sure you would gain a bit in the mid to high rev range with a bit more exhaust flow - Less back pressure?

The thing with more noise / louder exhausts is people tend to rev it less because they hear more noise, This may be the case?
This is the same with cars, I have been an automotive exhaust fitter for almost 10 years now (On & off, Not currently) & test driven a few different cars & even lots of diesel 4WD's even that get there exhausts done for better performance & even better fuel economy, There is a limit to the noise needed though & I know that noise does not equal power but having good flow does

Honestly speaking in regards to my zx14 I don't spend much time at all in the high rev range, there's just very few places where you can use it.
Opening it up is just not practicle, unless you have unlimited points and a large bank account.
I have the shift light set at 8k and I rarely see it.

Yeah good point, There happens to be a gold (Front) & black (rear) Hayabusa up the road from me, Dont know the bloke & he has not had it long, It is damn loud & not sure what muffler he has cause I barely get to see it when he goes past

the bloke over the road has a factory black 05 busa with carbon cans onit and it sounds like thunder when he guns it down the street ,i deleted the 4into2 because after a ride i was deaf for a few hours, plus being known by every cop with in 100k in every direction of my house or workshop kind of puts the brakes on me having a blast or aloud bike now,i keep it quiet then when i do give it a squirt those toss pots cant hear me ,the hardest thing is trying to ride it with 1 wheel up ,its great fun on big take offs

Ran full length twin Yoshi's on my past Busa's,
same on current one, just bought some off BigKev for my next one.

Bike's with shorty's I've ridden or ridden with had no major gain's,
on long run's pissed me off, and attracted way too much attention.

Funny enough the guy's I struggle to keep up with have very quiet
S1000RR's or ZX10R's. The noisey attention seekers get left behind.

..... and Happy Birthday Pete.
