Yeah, I just pushed the fuse boxes up behind the throttle bodies and there was already an empty screw hole there and everything, had to lengthen the LH control wires & lights. I'll get a new clutch hose too, I hate the half steel half hose one. Looking good Pete, will be interesting to see how you fit it all together.

You have really lifted your game on this bike mate unlike your 1100W fighter. I dont see any nasty looking drilled stays or anything. Looks great mate and the scollop in the side is a nice touch.

i just kept on looking at this bloody ugly gap between the tank and frame and thought i need another tank,so what ive done is add an outter skin which doesnt make the tanks capacity any bigger ,,i thought about little add ons ,but it wouldnt do the job i wanted ,ive always wanted to try some custom metal work.

Do you need to charge it,or can it run off the bike?
Also, does it have a backlight? Will you be able to read it when its dark??

Bloody Hell Pete, you've put mine to shame.

I always kept the pillion seat / clocks etc as I wanted something
that was useable, take the Mrs out, weekends away etc as the
B-King is useless for that.

Soon as the 14 is on the road it'll take over those dutys
and mine can be more of a toy and less sensible.
Everytime I re-read this thread I go down the shed and stand
looking at mine. Great motivation thread Pete.

Looking nice, What bars are you running on the Busa? Did you have to extend any cables? I imagine the hoses would have needed to be longer?

@ Tony Nitrous, Just curious why you would buy bars from B&C Express in the UK & which bars have you bought from there?, The Renthal bars are over $100 after the conversion + postage & the postage price for stuff from the UK is usually ridiculous, What did B&C sting ya for postage to OZ?

Renthal fatbars can be bought in most bike shops for around $120+, I guess you must have a reason for buying from there, Maybe combining other items?

I have a set of FLY Aero Tapered (SX bend) bars on the way from the USA & they cost me $82 incl delivery via priority mail

on the other hand if you go the other way risers ,fat dirt bike bars you need to buy cables etc ,i tryed fat bars and risers on my old 1100w fighter didnt feel right and looked shit as well.
hunt through ebay and have a good look around before you commit, you can find a brand new bargain

Yes. The choice, price and service in Australia is piss poor,
I use Renthal 789 Streetfighter bars, got them on my Busa, GSX1400
and on my Bandit. Cant find anyone who stocks them, or is willing to
get them in for me.

In the UK they cost £ 37.50 ( you dont pay their VAT / GST if the
good as being exported) Thats $58 AU compared to $100 at the shops
here. Not sure what P&P is but not enough to hurt the deal.

They are normaly at my door in about 4 days.

Why pay double, deal with local f#ckin retards and have crap choice?

Tony Nitrous
23-09-2012, 04:46 PM
Tried to order Renthal-789 bars in Brisbane.
Gave them the correct part number and
im happy to wait and get them ordered in,

Shop's insist on getting the Renthal book out and look suprised that they
cant find a fitting for a Hayabusa!
Blank looks and head scrathing.....

Tried to sell me dirtbike bar's, I explained the dirtbike dont have room for switchgear
and this puts the mastercylinder clamps too close to the first curve so the clutch/brake
lever wont pull in square-on. Something i've had previous issue's with,
More blank looks and head scratching.....

Retard behind counter stares at Renthal book,
They (789's) are not listed !
More blank looks and head scratching.....

Phone B&C "No problem Mate, they're on there way"
