Finally got the bike back from a mate that's wired the loom to suit v-rod light, dash and tail end for me...still trying to work out where to run the speed sensor with out wire's hanging off the front leg's?..with one plug to the rear, total time to disconnect and remove the complete rear end is less than a minute.just waiting on mesh to show up for the panel insert's now to see what is needed to mount them(more welding). then i can strip and powder coat, the mesh you see is just stuff i bought for my wife's car just to see what it look's like...iv gone for a smaller mesh in steel so i can mount the ingnition into it.http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1265101367.jpg

wow, really coming along. I love how is looks so, factory, like is was meant to be.
oh, if you mount the speed sensor on the rear wheel, the speedo will be far more accurate when ya doing wheelies... but, far less accurate when doing skids/burnouts... :D

hey brenden, here's the said dog bone's..they looked much smaller when i saw em on the site i bought them from.for some reason they have drilled 2mm hole's in the end of em and filled them with silastic which i guess could be filled with liquid steel, the anodizing is pretty poor as well but a paint job would fix that but either way im not using em,there on the shelf collecting dusthttp://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1266239869.jpg

ay jon, yeah mate the wheel's are on but only so i can wheel the bike around, paint should be well cured to, been 40c in the shed by the oil temp guage! more welding needed to mount the mesh panel's (that still haven't showed up) and mount's for rear peg's...been looking at heap's of em GSXR6 K7 will be the go due to similar sub frame angle. more money required !

Are you gonna be painting the mesh Harry? Also is there anyway you could keep all the holes facing the same way? I kno... fussy bugger right! IMHO I jst think it would match a lil better!

CBRRRT
15-03-2010, 06:50 AM
You are right on the money with the holes all facing the same
way Lance. Be easier to make the two small mesh panels to match
the sub-frame Harry, apart from that small detail, I like it mate.

CBRRRT
15-03-2010, 07:00 AM
Are you gonna think about modding the tank Harry. I think you need to keep it to follow the line of the frame, but perhaps making some kind of body kit for it might help to take away the stock Suzuki look from it. Every Bandit streetfighter has got one, but with the amount of engineering and effort you are putting in I think it would let the rest of the bike down. Hope I didnt offend with my comments buddy.
