Yep betty decided to kick me off the other day as I was slowing from about $130 coming to an inersection on a private road of course ! Feel like 10 men for all day go to bed at 12:30 that night feeling a little stiff. The next day lol fuck me shoulder is bad and I sleep through tattoo's knee wont bend hmmmm off to doc get xray on shoulder seems i have banged up my AC joint is only a minor separation should be ok in 6 weeks doc sez just dont ride the bike till after then , didn't have the heart to tell him I rode betty there lol

Adrenalin kept me going all day when I came off the next day though fuck me and it was only a little off haha last time I had a big one I woke in hospital a week later on real good drugs lol

Looks like just another cockhead with far to much cash and no idea how to get good sound to me. I have a Quad 303 here is only 25 watt per channel with a pair of tannoi speakers to buy replacement amp and speakers would cost you prob $20k for the amp and $20k each for the drivers the boxes are 4 inch thick hardwood almost a metre square. Not sure how much they weigh but it takes 2 strong blokes to lift em. They sound great simple A class transistor amp if you built it yourself from descreet componets will cost about $400 to make the Drivers are tricky to find now at a reasonabel price a mate payed $1500 for the lot a long time ago. There is a guy in pommie land built his whole house to audio specs the sub floor is the subs (basment )

Ok now this is the real deal from italy and yes he has far to much money , but this is also his job/income The subs play done to 10 hz 8 15inch subs per channel for 16 in total for the subs capable of absorbing 6400watts rms with a Db output of 110Db/m/w @ 30 Hz with 100 watts rms powering it you get 160 Db @ 10 hz at the couch at above 180 Db it would probably kill you quickly. This is his lounge room in his private house. At 6400 w the house would literly come down on the subs. With 100 w per channel it is safe , but people really freak because it literally feels like the walls are coming down around you. Now thats a home stereo!

Yep, that is CRAZY! That isolation platform on the turntable is not too pretty though, but doesn't have to be pretty to work.

Mate watts are current times volts is all related , the amp is good for low distortion due to design and placement of components etc is still just a 25 watt rms amp the speakers are 15 inch dual cone very high effeciancy thats where the extra output comes from. 3db increase in sensitivity of drivers is the same as a 4 times increase in amp power output ! with this amp and speaker combo , it rivals a PA equipment output of 500 w rms if setup right and sounds shitloads better! I know I have both lol

The setup's called a horn loaded driver, I have plans for a pair of boxed horns to take 2 500 watt rms subs the box is 30 by 30 by 60 inches and will eat anything you can put up against it with the same power input, 8 big 15 inch PA bins running 500 w each wont touch it! Is just so effecient its silly. Thinking it might be just right for burtha ! HaHa with it setup correctly I could be looking at 165 db in the bus with 1500w rms (my current D class amp with 2 12s in ported boxes maxes out at 135 db but is only running at 2 ohms so amp is only cranking out about 700w into the subs .

True, but we all know how much bullshit some manufacturers tell about watts and claimed wattage. And as for multi channel half the claimed wattages on the market are only sustainable by the amp in question driving one channel not 5,6 or 7 channels at once.
But yeah totally agree, very efficient speaker can make 25 watts see like many, many more.

the old quad 303 used real rms figures, stopped making the particualar unit in mid 70's I think the one i have is a 1974, had to replace a few caps and transistors due to someone poking around that didn't know what he was doing and poof oh shit what happened lol. My current stereo in burtha the bus runs a mono D class amp that will pump out 1600 w rms into 1 ohm (tested and mesured by me) but it cuts out on thermal overload without cooling fans after about an hour in 40 deg days under 30 deg it seems to be able to keep cooling ok and a 4 channel running 200w rms into 2 ohms each for 800 w total also tested for output, all powered by 4 100ah deep cycle batterys and a 100 amp high voltage output altinator . Power output is not a problem considering its just a general listening unit lol

To get 165 db in the bus with those horn loaded drivers is quite do-able but only with the drivers setup optimally and a single tone burst, but that loud is just barging rights anyhow, trying to listen to music much louder than what i have with the two 12 inch ported enclosures for any long term anount of time is just fucking stupid inside the bus, as after one song your ears ring for and hour lol

Thinking the horn loaded speakers along with some horn mids and compersion drivers would make burtha an even better party bus for ASF partys etc though , as the horns will all be able to be mounted on her roof for outside rave partys etc

these are a few build pics i have from 2000 when i built a system in a mates silva . the 2 x 15 subs
in this car was at the time only 1 of 2 or 3 to have done it. the bare box alone took nearly 40 hrs
(there is only 12" from the parsell shelf 2 the floor in these things)all done on weekends and after i finished work in mum and dads shed...
not the best there is but at the time prety full on in the sean. hope some one gets a kick out of them they brought a smile 2 my face as i looked over them
