If I may offer a minor suggestion... is it possible to drop the headlight down and angle it back a fraction more?

Funny you should say that Pete, I had a car repaired after some cunt backed into me and the cheap skate bastards sika flexed the badges and the front grill back on, I spotted it on pick up inspection and left the car with them to fix properly.
Not a good look for a repairer.

Sikaflex is a product if used incorrect can and will make the job look bad,But if done correctly will not be able to be seen.Unless its used to seal windscreens with .
so its ok to be a dodgy cunt so long as no one can spot it?
The missus battering ram was fixed by dodgy dago panel beaters after she used it to shorten up the rear end of a celica. Needless to say that the insurance co had to pay twice for the repair after I brought it to their attention that instead of replacing damaged parts they simply smeared sikaflex oer cracked plastics. Useless cunts couldn't even color match and bolted on faded panels off another wreck. What a poor state of affairs when craftsmanship and skill go out the window and is replaced with selleys no more skills.
actually with windscreens, sikaflex or the other product of simular name is the only method of adhering windcreens and fixed side windows to all motorvehicle's !!
its used from the factory to race cars !!
a little know fact here for you guys ,but did you know that when a corrtectly fitted windscreen and fixed side glass is installed ,it is part of the roll over protection as the lamination's of the glass and SIKAFLEX allow's the structure to absorb and lesston the impact !!!!
and most badges on mototrvehicles are actually fitted with sikaflex from the factory
ie; SAAB ,some VOLVO's ,the HUMMER black bonnet protector was lamminated with the chrome top section with sikaflex!
opps forgot hummer changed that method to double side tape to save money!!!
all to most pannel joins are and have sikaflex added to remove harmonics and or vibrations from the factory
ie;landrover,jag,saab,volvo,citroen,alfa-romeo to name a few and then spot welded !!
now aido you said "and i qoute "
""selleys no more skills""
FORD actually filled all to most body cavites with shit made from selleys so the body is quiet for euro spec as they dont like how we aussies have loud interiors !! belive it or not!!!!! lololol
and the thing that gets up my goat is when people "not saying anyone from here either "have a car done a a pannel beater and have a problem with job done !! next time remember they are there to make money "and yes to provide a good level of service aswell" but if they qoute 10 hours to repair-prep-blend and paint an side section of a car and the insureer says no !! you will do it in 6.5 and no more should the repairer do the 3.5 out of his own pocket ???? you be the judge .
and when the repairer says no we need 10 to do the job correclty as they need to warrnet their work the insurer says 6.5 or it goes else ware in this day and age most pannel shops rely on insurer work so then they have to bend over for them or shut down .
just look up SHERRIDON body works in DAPTO opps ya cant they got fucked over by NRMA by the very same way !!!!!!
sorry my rant is over

Aido are you insured with AAMI by anychance or a company under their umbrella??
This problem with insurance companys these days they want everything done cheap as possible not so much enfisess on quality.
The shops quote as cheap as possible to get teh job, the result is you get poor quality work from the guys trying to cut corners for the insurance company.
The insurance company would not have paid twice mate they would have not paid the first guy, they usually take about 60-75days to pay so i'm sure you brought to there attention previous to that.
Trust me mate if they dont have to pay they wont pay.
Best thing for the future is get a policy were you can pick your repairer.
Pete has a point to a degree, the windows front and rear at sika flexed in as they are from factory.
Most door moulds are double sided taped and also sika flexed.
Big badges can beifit from a small dab of sika flex to aid in hold for long periods.
The problem with double sided tape that is not teh factory stuff is it has to be cut to fit so you never get as
much on as the factory new one would have.
Aback to insurance companies- they dont want to pay for new ones so they make us reback them.
1 BMW badge alone could be about $200 mate if they reback 100 a year thats 20K they have saved.
Its always in the best interests as a repairer to return the vehicle to as close to pre accident condition as possible, but unfortunatly your hands are tied sometimes and for the smallest things.
off topic now but most everyone has had enough of Pete rambling about his project anyway.....:p
"the smallest things" does that include a battery tray that has not been replaced but held in place wih goo including the bolt tabs? they let go on the way home from the wreckers/ repairers and the battery was shorting on the bonnet. Burnt the paint and boild the batt.
Bent torsion bar? no amount of goo is gonna fix that so dont bother and hope they dont notice.
Damaged lower control arms? repair that with some under body black over the top.
What do you mean the the diff housing is leaking from the cracked casting? we put almost $10 worth of sikaflex over that crack....Spiros still has it all over his hands from smearing it on!
Theres cutting corners and there is fucking dodgy. Selleys no more skills is no answer to proper talent.
