I reckon huggers look awesome personally, they add some beefiness to the back end.

I'm starting to think with your gixxer bright orange, and luke's being blue, i'll have to go fluro green or something ;)

They look shit pete, sorry but they do.... If your going to keep them wide you need to drill bigger holes in them to get the ratio of hole to wall thickness right.

Or cut it down to 20mm wide and leave the small holes.

Yep dyno's can be fudged or manipulated to give figures over or even under whats actually there.
My slightly modded diesel patrol makes just under 140rwhp on an honest dyno......

I like where you're headed with this Pete.

BANDITROD

with my old 711, the on the dyno that it was tuned on, it put out 129 point somethingorother. At a dyno day, i got a printout saying 150 something.
by comparison, petes turbo 713 (and judge) got about 4 million.

latheboy
20-07-2011, 08:20 PM
That is one of my dyno's (well i work for them) and the power figure is power at the crank.
This Dyno has been set up to read like a Dynojet dyno which reads 17% higher than most others (good one Rod).
Can you post a graph?

If you want a bigger number so your mates give you a goby go run on a Dynojet:D

I'm not going to go into brand bashing.

One thing you need to do is keep to one of brand dyno (whichever it is) for all your tuning so you know the numbers are relative.

Well Pete only my 6 cents and I dont know whether you want to hear it but here gos, I think the tail looks silly and blown out by the colour, there are so many tails over that which would have looked the goods and Im with Fimp, the dash needs to be changed as the surface area it leaves doesn't work, to be honest I think you have gone back wards and as you know Im not going to blow hot wind up your arse and on that you may think Im not being fair dinks but I am.
Like I said just my opinion.

25-07-2011, 07:27 AM
IMO the only thing really wrong is the colour (and this applies to many 'fighters Pete, not just yours)
'Streetfighter' by definition = tough, nasty, aggressive, hard-ass....
But painting them pretty colours....makes them very 'nice' [:p]

Shadowzone
25-07-2011, 08:52 AM
Pete, I like it. I think the rim colour ruins it, but the rest is ok. It could use something to break the colour around the tail section but otherwise I'm for it.

I don't normally like the Euro fighter look, btu you've pulled it off well here. If you are going to change the colour slow down and search the web to find a scheme which will complement the look you're chasing.

Otherwise, well done, and send the RTA a bill for repairing your bike.

nick76
25-07-2011, 01:15 PM
I reckon its not too bad.
Alittle too much orange for me,and i actually like orange.
Paint the wheels black...and while your at it,the frame and swinger aswell.....and maybe the engine....then the orange will look good.
Is there still a seat pad to go on that??

nick76
25-07-2011, 01:19 PM
Also,like Shadow says,bill the RTA.
I rode through all this tar like shit on the road one time, that their workers left all over the road, and there was this shit that was so hard to take off all over my bike,i whinged, and got quotes to pro clean my bike, and the RTA gave me a cheque of around $250,or whatever the quote from the detailer was.

I agree to a point, but generally speaking the majority of negative comments about any members bike are simply constructive criticism.

There is an entire thread dedicated to repulsive creations that nobody has any problem with slagging off and comments like yours are rarely seen defending these abominations.

It is a fact of life that some people have an eye for design and others try their best but need a bit of direction along the way.
No doubt Pete has taken some of these comments and made changes for the better, yet others he has ignored completely because they were in no way bike related and/or not what he wanted.

Build what you want Pete, but remember that most people are just trying to help.
