its a very clean look, you going to mold the tail to the tank as they did? that tail is so small you could make it from your pillion cover on the old unit :)

Shift1313, that one you linked to is the Z1 tail piece, it's longer than the Z650 one and more wrapped over as opposed to open like the 650 one.
By the way, being ex-English I know this one: £ = hold the Alt key and type 0163 (I don't have the £ symbol on my keyboard either).

Low slung under the engine. Keep that back clean. Of course you are creating the bike I wanna build right now so, actually, scrap that. I recommend big oversize exhaust stacks like on a truck that sit up above your head.
http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/588169174101116.JPGthats what i was thinkn Si.. underbelly to keep the ass lookin neat cause a pipe out the back would look crap oh and i managed to get a solo seat cover today from the wreckers as a new r6 just came in while i was there SCORED ...... plus i got a seat which is guna be cut down and retrimmed should look the biz tomorrow's the day for subframe building

if you look at the pics on page 3 you can see hes got two sections of square tubing. the side pic with the two bolts by the tank are his upper and lower subframe points. I think it will be strong enough as long as there is no passenger on there.
if you ever do have a problem pesh you could cut out a bit of your seat and run a bar higher up towards the tank if needed. great job though

if you look near the air filters just on the other side of the frame there are two bolts there. the upper is the top mount and lower is the bottom mount, they arent far apart, maybe 30mm. atleast if i had to guess how he did it id say that.
correcta mundo ... the alloy plates that are welded to the frame are like 7 mm thick .. the subframe has an upper and a lower arm on each side .. i have botched up the exhaust till like next week but it still looks good .. i will take a better pic of it though ... once i have made the seat and its full completed. this subframe was made as a solo subframe .. and is heaps strong enough ( dont worry i have givin it the stunt test ) ......

Whats that little doodad sticking up on the front guard pesh? Ive studied it for the last couple of days and think i have it worked out. Its either a turbotronic vapour analizing wind speed device to detect turbotronic vapour windspeed or its a sensor thats linked to the datalogger to detect bugs hitting the front of your bike thus creating drag. Either way its trueley high tech and you must be commended on your forethought. I love bourbon.

Gotcha! They're so close to each other I thought it was just one.
LOL hey OZ u were close m8 ... hahahahaha nah the guard used to have like a mohawk of spikes going right across it .. but due to them being extremely sharp i thought it would be wise to remove most of them ... bikes carrying on now its definately ignition : plugs leads or coils .. its really pissn me off cause when its cold its fine but as soon as it warms up a bit the leads go like jelly and it starts misfiring .. ( piece of shit ) lol .. once thats sorted it will be sweet ... hey huey thanx m8 wish ur street was longer hahaha
