the finished product. 23 pieces of pipe,8 retainer springs,1 can of black flameproof paint.ahh black paint hides a multitude of sins.
i spent a full week on the exhaust.checking the valve clearances,remove the sump cleaned the oil pick up.spark plugs oil etc..it was so fuckin good to hear that big black bastard fire up this arvo..thats something we all share is that feeling when that engine fires...yee haaaaa

this new little pipe re routes the oil where the oil cooler was and above it is the washable oil filter..

its FUCKIN LOUD Scotty,the primary pipes are 1"3/8 mid pipes 1"1/2 then the siamese 1"5/8 then the collector 1"3/4 the link pipe is 2",all up cost about$400 in materials..its off to Wayne Patterson Motorcycles in Bunbury for Dyno work next week..

This bike is loud even with the baffle in, standing next to it yesterday when Mozz gave it a rev made my teeth rattle!
Mozz did all of this exhaust himself, so I can't take any credit.
I really just turned up every now and then and tried to put my slug in his ear without him noticing.

Tod Patterson from Bunbury Ducati rang last nite to say that the Dyno work was finished and that the Bullfrog now makes 171 hp at the tyre thats up 10 hp and the best bit is where the power would fall off after 7000rpm it holds a big fat power curve all the way to the rev limiter.BIG THANKS TO Neil Anderson(Pro Flo)he pointed me in the right direction.Tod & Wayne Patterson(Bunbury Ducati)Most Awesome Dyno work..Paul and Amanda Longcake (Motorcycles Plus). Rocket and Billywhizz and Amanda and birthday boy Zavier Hansord for the mountain of inspiration.. and to all the ASF crew.. now all i gotta do is ride the thing properly

Hey Rod, all ive done to get the extra 10 hp was the exhaust pipe remove the airbox and remove the secondry butterflies in the throttle bodies..
i cant take credit for the engine build, the real Master of Horsepower is Phil Tainton his engine work is Awesome..
\these gsx14s have about 98horses at the tyre, Phil Tainton got 60% increase with 1620cc
je pistons flowing the head Yoshi cams and carefull setup, and my work made it up to 70% more than stock.
suzuki builds strong bikes..when are we going to see the predator turbo finished..

Well decided to Bling the BULLFROG ordered a Autometer FAT Tach.mounted it in a piece of carbon fibre that was left over from the Hyper SS project bike.already had the shift light.come up a treat got to test it at last weekends W.A. grand final.and the face glows green..

Hi mark, if you look on pages 4 & 5 the pics are fairly self explainitry
from the dark recesses of my memory the pick up is 15mm from the sump floor so i cut a piece of mild steel pipe and welded it to a shaped piece of flat plate shaped to fit the two holes in the crancase i also cut some fine mesh and sandwiched it between the crancase and the new oil pickup to stop anything going through the pump.then i cut the old sump case then milled it flat and had lee the tig master weld it up...anyway im going to swap the gearbox shortly as 3rd gear wasn't rite last meeting so il re photo it if you need more detail..all the best...morry

Hey Surt, yeah the only real change was i went race pattern gearshift and re conected the quick shift but the Air last friday was cold and dense..just like an old girlfriend..

no need i just use the dyno jet one connected to the power commander. i had it this time last year i just couldn't get my dinosaur brain around the concept,i kept shutting the throttle between gearshifts and making a mess of the shifts,you know the saying about old dogs and new tricks...anyway now i have reversed the gear shift its better i can get the throttle on the stop and just stab the gear lever..much better

Yeah Thanks Lads, MDM did a great job of Writing what we have tried to Do! me personally its the best thing we could (as streetfighters) have done... he would have been stoked!!!

When this site changed formats the early photos didn't link up and i have re-posted them..all is quiet in the shed atm. just so much going on..i think at this stage i will just be running again as it is..but the big throttle bodies are definatley on the to do list!!especially as bloody Rocket is building the new turbo..

We have had some memorable races so far and the BULLFROG just gets better and better..

i have to say that in all the years that i have raced..tar and Drags the best race so far was this years Western Nationals against RANGZ on the BMW1000RR..that thing is a bloody WEAPON.. and to beat him by 14 thousandths of a second was fuckin awesome..i was screaming inside my helmet "Common BULLFROG we can do this"...and we DID!!! still smiling...on ya BULLFROG !! 9.92

Well done mate, I read the write up a while ago in SF mag, it was in the same issue as the turbo busa I've been sorting out for Spart. I've been thinking about a GSX1400 based project for a while, although just the motor in a different frame, I'll ditch the FI and run Mikuni 40mm flatslides instead, I've had loads on my dyno and the grunt they have is really impressive. I fancy something long and low ( fuckin' no choice with my short legs!!)

yeah Dynomutt ,they sure do GRUNT..thats the key with this bike is out of the hole it just fucks off!! but i have considered carbs but when i see the guys at the track with bodywork on the floor and rooting around with jetting..nah done that for a living for too long so im going busa throttle bodies maybee a bigger fuel pump if needed as the stock injectors are at 100%now..thank MDM for me if you see him..please..very good write up
