but more than that, the rest of the bike: the seat and the wirin' i of been finishin' right in the van in moss' cow, -6...-2C [:0]

Ah ha here you are hiding. To set the record straight me old china - never said naffink about no VFR shock. Used the CBR one on mine.

Your bike looks amazing, sweet work. Yuu need some extra weight on it though unless you believe that Christ is a bit flimsy or low density and so easy to crush...

In any case more likely that your linkage ratio is too high that your soggy old viffer shock is too stiff...

Surt
23-08-2009, 07:29 AM
to many exotic snails i guess low density christ to be crushed in my ANOTHER thread to the open minded part of the mankind's satisfaction :D
well from my memory i still remember wen u sorted out ur arse shocks u was sayin that the vfr stockie one was to squashy or smthin and was about to try on one from a cbr [:p]
and thanks mate, i luv my bike to, kunt wait to have it roarin and whistlin :)

Surt
23-08-2009, 07:35 AM
and thats true, i of made the ratio as is cos was afraid itd be quaggy to, and mind u, its the same ratio as for my custom made from a honda city shock [:0] just that shock itself was appr 100mm longer
well before changin the ratio, im gonna try on the buell bluey shock, it must be milder, has preload ads, and looks terrific, still lost in my shed but to be extracted... soon :)

Mate i dont mean to be a cunt, but if you spent as much time on building your bike as you did talking and posting crap you'd proably have it finished by now.

the build speed is limited not by my talkin but by financial reasons... u'd be surprised how quick the bikes finished if i dont have to save brass for every purchase and ordering details. also at least i aint just talking and posting crap, but show me how to work mate [8)]

I enjoy the crap matey, if you edit the crap out of my thread you could wittle it down to two or three pages, I'm sure, lol.[:o)]

Keep the crap coming, and the amazing build too Surt.

hope you are going to do something one off with the tank that will complement the rest of the bike.

btw whats wrong with the tank jon? well its not sitting in its place cos of the engine subbie, but i luv its shape, reminded me sportsters tank /when hadnt been widened yet/, its given an old skool cafe racers look that i dig... so the new alloy tanks gonna be similar, just more fitted to the frame shape. kunt say i like the shapes of nowadays sport bikes [(half)false] tanks, esp one of slabbies [:p] but i like bandits tank, like the one on harrys ...boong'abusa, right? :)

Ahhh! Im followin ya! Fair enuf then...
LOL I bet there is! Is it pretty easy to get things road registered there? I mean all ur bikes with car engines would be a nightmare over here if u wanted to legally ride them on the road!

Surt
21-11-2009, 11:52 AM
nope, not easy, but possible... ill have to go to the certification center by the motocycle research institute ([:p] bwa, i bet u dont have 1 in oz! :D:D:D), 150ks of moss cow, with the bike/s and "tech documentation": pics, drafts, schemes, any calculations, IF ANY; the bike/s/ to be tested at their race course (hopefully theyll be scared to do that), then, if approved, go to the traffic inpection to be rego'ed, thats it, but naturally, some donations and tips as a lube gonna make the process nicier and easier [:p] gonna try regoin' this bike firstly.
btw, most of the modded bikes on here woudnt need any re-registration after say sssa swap or even a turbo or super charging, leaving alone taking of plastic [8D], but not the same with cars, say u cant change stock optics, now they r gonna prohibit bull bars and eventually, everything thats not stock [V] but again, u cant fit bigger brake discs in ur car, but its ok with nitros, thats cookie! :D

Sounds like you have the same problems all over the world. Some twat sitting in an office trying to keep him/herself in a job, makes loads of rules that dont add up to a pile of shit.

If they wont pass it Surt, then drag race it son!!!

yup, the bloody parasites r havin' to prove to the world that they r necessary and not just taking bribes
in the noughties they just bin takin' bribes, no law makin' and that was good: folks rode and drove without any rego, insurance and even licence plates and drivers licence itself! [^]
i aint gonna regoing christCrusher, its for drag race only, but gonna ride naglfar anywhere with rego or without (just keeping 50 bucks in my pockets)
