Got this tidy piece of kit sent through to me from Adrian. Here's the specs from him:

"Hi this is my 78 GS1000E. Bored to 1100 with filters and Harris race exhaust. GSXR1100M complete monoshock conversion with one off jmc drag race swing arm. Katana forks, billet yokes and GS500 front wheel. Hope you like it....."

I'm guessing this is reinforcing Turbokat's comments to Ed74mnd about the braced swingarm making all the difference to the handling. (If anyone missed that, it's here: http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2134)

outrigger bearing support i made myself, had to offset the sprocket by 16mm so the chain clears the bigger tyre. probably not essential for that much offset but gives a bit of support and looks better than the standard cover!

1 or 2 guys have'em, and yeah they sold by the container load over here, still shit loads of'em on the roads.

is there many fightered gs's or do you guys tend to keep them standard? they are getting quite rare in uk now cuz they are so old.still plenty of katanas about though

Haven't seen any Fighters per se. Starting to see a lot of trick ones set up for classic racing though. Road going ones tend to be standard.
A good one goes for between A$ 1200-2500 where I am.

do you get much call for performance parts for the gs in oz, like piston kits or clutch kits etc? how do the prices compare to the uk?
