hey Si just started catching up with whats been happening . ill keep whacking content on here as and when i can, i have a shit load of articles and stuff that went in the mags ,now that ive been sidelined for more pic space and hard copy mags are dying i have more time to spend writing for myself . anyway anything i can do [and i know thats limited but just ask ] btw i no longer get update emails ,which is what used to prompt me to log in

Oh, coincidence. I just posted in another topic about the same thing. Sorry Jules, I never heard back from Sen again, so now I have no idea what to do.
I am thinking I might have to bite the bullet and update VBulletin (the platform this is run on). Didn't want to as it's pretty crap these days, but I guess not as crap as it is now hey?

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated. Medical shit has been a bit chaotic, surgeries didn't do as they intended and it's all been a bit of a mess. Forum isn't forgotten, it's just a lot to handle on top of everything else.

To be totally honest, with everything going on, I forgot about it for a fair while, and now I've been poked and reminded I'm keen to try get it all done. I just had another stint in hospital last week and am pretty much recovered, so I'll get back to work on it.

For those curious: The database from vB needs to be converted into something usable on another platform. None of the free converters I found work, and i've spent many weeks already wrestling with them so now I'm just writing my own. Once i've converted the users/posts/categories/PMs/etc I can then get a temporary clone of the forum going on another domain, and the admins/mods/regulars can have a play and start helping me find all the bugs and issues. I need to make sure all the URLs work so search results and links from other sites aren't broken, images/attachments all work, etc etc. I'm keen for it to be done, it's just a slog of a job so I'll do it bit by bit.
