Radiator and Oil-cooler Guards for "Busa's Evil Twin"

If they dont suit it, they are going on my 04 bike and I will get some made up for the 02.

That might be what I need,
GSXR1000 rear-end fitted to an Ugly-Bus.

http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7524/busa1000rearfp7.jpg

Its Shorter, Smaller, Raised,
Can swop between useable pillion seat or single seat cowl,
Using genuine Suzuki parts so I get decent pillion pegs / rear lights
etc and can use an over the shelf aftermarket undertray.

Not sure it suits the fully faired bike in the picture ?
Might be Neat on an unfaired cut down bike ?

that bikes fucking swweeet... not keen on the colors, but the gixxer rear end suits it imo.

and i do agree tony, a gixxer rear would look sweet on the naked bus, id also like to see a k6 gixxer rear on it too

great job with the radiator too.

cheers.joe.

Looking.
Going to be part of "stage 2" after the fools run.
Did have my mind set on a late model SV6 rear,
but starting to think the Gix1000 looks better.

I know everyone and their dog will shout "Lower the Fairing"
but it 'aint going to happen! I like the standard clocks and
their new mounts, so to get it back on the road its going to
be the "Praying Mantis" hunched-up look...;)
It will take the focus off the fairing when I get the Huge tank
and new bellypan back on anyway....maybe....sort of.....

HueyonaBlade

Have you thought about painting the radiator guard black?

Tony Nitrous
16-02-2007, 04:58 AM
Paint was supposed to be a match for the Blue on the
original 02 Bodywork, was going to be a temporary thing
as its getting new rear body work latter in the year.

Rad guards may go Black. Didn't want to touch them yet.
Will see what the look like with the bodywork on. They are
only mass-produced aftermarket,If they look crap they are
going on my stock bike (Hidden under bodywork)

Yeah, ME TOO !!!
Bike is a Jim's (HMR) getting a few last brackets and tweeks
and we cant fit the Belly pan because it wont go on and off
his Bike-Lift. So I haven't seen a full bodywork version either.

Rear is pretty stock anyway, but for a bit of polish and paint.
Paint wasn't what i originaly had planned but it growing on me.
Might use same colour when the new rear end go's on ?

:D... You know me too well ;)

Yeah, would like my usual yellow wheels, but both bikes have
polished rim so I will wait untill one of them needs new tyres,
funny enough I had though of a yellow Decal too....
what a suprise ;)

Photo doesn't show it well, but had a huge ugly gap between
the tank and frame, which Jim filled with some "crinkle-Black"
finished panels.

i like it alot...very tidy work mate.

I also love the build up to the AFR,its like a yearly deadline to finish the build and its gettin bigger every year,.... (the 1st year we only had 12 bikes, but only 6 or 7 fighters,i think).

Credit where credits due.
I gave up with the wireing and Jim at HMR did a great job
of what turned out to be a major task!
I worked f*ck*ng hard to earn the money, and decided what I
wanted, but jobs like the Radiator stub, the Loom, and cutting
the front guard down was all done by Jim. Im not a big enough arse
to claim credit for someone else's work.
I know its not in the true spirit of Streetfighters, but trust me,
im not the only one on here to farm jobs out.

Im pretty sure no one has done 100% of the work to their fighter themselves on ASF. Not even Ben, he even farms some work out. Its not so much who does the work its you who decides what work is done to create the bike you want. Its your input that makes the bike yours. Good on ya Tony, you are building a streetfighter, wether you had help along the way or not does not matter.

Thanks.

Its not like I've just thrown money at someone to build me a bike.
I did what I could and had the thing up and running, but not to any
standard I was happy with.
I just that I get a real guilt trip when folk complement me on what
a great job im doing. I've worked F*ckin hard to pay for this bike,
to get the parts I wanted, and to get it finished to this standard,
Its what I wanted, but the finished build should be credited to Jim.

I like the Belly-pan, but the clocks might have to be changed at a later date
for something smaller to make room to pull the headlight tighter in.

Thought about doing a seat hump in blue too, but didn't get one
with this bike, so decided against the cost of buying and painting
one as I have plans to fit a smaller / higher seat unit latter in
the year.

Jim's going to have a go at makeing up some mesh to fit over the
ram-air holes in the fairing for me and im going top treat it to a
new battery and fingers crossed, its out to play on Saturday / Sunday.

Abusa/Shayne..... "Finished" !!
Far from it. Lets just call it "stage one" ;)
