Nice work Surt !!! I was wondering where you had gotten to....
thanks heaps Dan, noice to know that there helluva thousands miles down under i have friends that have noticed my absence unlike my so called friends up here, well it just proves where i really belong to... have had wat we call "an asphalt sickness", a high side bad injuries mostly my poor head but kinda alright now just madder than ever bwahaha! like hell i'll croak before Oz but if i will id go straight to Valhalla somewhere in Queensland me thinks
anyway, long long time to have the header made so there we go
10mm thick titanium sheet for the flange... you should see wat happens to the jigsaw blades when sawing 10mm titanium haha! i'll shoot it on monday

A thin hand pwered metal saw (junior hacksaw or coping saw) is much better for cutting Ti mate jigsaw has to high a blade speed for Ti as soon as it gets hot it eats the blade.

Loving this build Surt. Hope the head heals mate, wanna see u finish this beast and give that asphalt a bit of payback
yeh gunna burn it to the ground, thanks angel of death just gimme some time!
Adam i tryed cuttin tutanium with a hand saw, no go! and as for my jig saw i used low revs and cooling in water, it cut alright first then the teeth got rounded but i was a one smart fucker i laid 20mm and 40mm thick spacers under the jigsaw to use all sections of the blade not just the upper 1
cbr954 titanium headers cut, ends were machined and flanges were re drilled and re shaped, making merge collectors now

made mockup dog bones with 3 center to center distances but i gunna make threaded ones later
also used a front end to make a mockup roller from the Ozzlem project but justed the legs length to gixxers usd forks i use for Hades
140mm center to center

now puttin the engine in
16:03:29 roller is ready for implanting

16:35:40 the engine and front end r in place

16:49:49 the rear wheels mounted

16:51:20 the bike is back on 2 wheels
http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r638/Surt_Rafrrirr/DSCF4614.jpg
so it took just 40min to dissasemble and assemble again not bad huh a very Kalashnikov fashoin let me tell ya!
esp given the fact that it took 2hs to remove the zorst from a stock bike and same 2hs to remove the engine from stock frame! not bad at all!

out of curiosity how is the chain allignment
thanks heaps blokes! the seat height is the same as on the stock frame, coz my frame is 40mm higher in the rear and the seat is gotta be much thinner than stock. the seat is also moved forward for about 120-150mm what'd make a riding position more sporty.
as for the chain alignment, i use the bandit wheel in the gixxers swinger, so i just gunna add about 6-8 links to make the chain apr 130mm longer
funny that the tyre pattern is fucking asymmetric so when i set the wheel with swinger into the frame for the 1st time i was misled by tyre pattern, the wheel looked displaced to the left for good 10mm and i thought that i'd have to move the swinger to the right and set the whole bugger back on the rack to find out how much i need exactly
by eye u could say that the middle of the tyre is where my arrow drawn, but in fact it is where the dots on tyre and caliper are, just a bit moved while i was making a shot. and the laser pointed exactly /just was switched of atm/ at the mark on the tyre and the mark on the caliper is 95mm coz the tyre is 190mm wide. the only bugger is the chain guides but i check up their alignment when try the chain on

And judging by the pictures, the turbo is well above the oil level in the motor so gravity drain should be fine :D
Gonna be one unique machine, and always look forward to the updates.

Totally unique. Without anything to use as scale in the photo, how far is the reach to the bars mate? Looks really long in the photos (as in the tank hump will be in your guts). Sit on it and get a photo mate, let's see the real shape.
Radness from Russia - love it!
thanks mates yip slingy hopefully it'd do without a scavenge pump
yip Si, i'll reshape the tank again making it much lower and flatter and make a section sunk inside the upper rails. as for the reach its the same as on a stock bandit cos although i made the frame about 120mm longer, i moved the seat for same 120mm (or so) forward, therefore only feet position has changed but very comfortable! as for the pic, i dissasembled the roller cos i intend to make a turbine supporting subframe and wg appendix from header as well as damp pipe and its flange, maybe next time
cut out the vr sensor mounting plate
http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r638/Surt_Rafrrirr/vrsplate.jpg

Hey mate, that trigger wheel looks great ;)
Will it fit under the stock cover or are some mods needed. Would like to see it all in place?
I take it your gonna put the standard setup on, turn the crank to its standard TDC marks, then put your new setup on and witness mark the TDC onto the new trigger wheel?
I made a little gauge using my standard wheel as a jig on some scrap alloy, then after modding to 36-1 transfered the marks
http://i557.photobucket.com/albums/ss11/slingy88/750 slingshot/P1000850800x600.jpg
yip slingy after i of modded the vr sensor holder, everything fits in, the gap is adjustable as well

http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r638/Surt_Rafrrirr/trigger01.jpg
thats how one can remove the wheel, just screwing the bolts in
http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r638/Surt_Rafrrirr/trigger06.jpg
as for positioning the wheel, i noticed that its pin points at TDC at the right upper screw that holds the plate, so i just got the print of the pin on the hub and drilled ф4mm hole there
btw the split hole was bored off, welded, drilled and retapped
