ok thanks to weaselman he has put me on to his mate VON DAZ !!
last week i took of my body work ,i was ONLY going to scuff back for the pinstrippping ,BUT!in the usual mad dumb fucker that i am !
i didnt like my paint job i did,so i cut it all back and strarted all over, at the moe its high filled and blocked back ready for tomoz to base coat ,then on friday of to get the stripping done.

i dont like how the acewell pick-up for the speedo is normaly mounted on the front so i used the vertical mill at work and placed the pick -up in 1 of the sproket mount bolts and the other end is on the swing arm.

and the temp sender unit i decided to drill and tap the thermostate housing ,it has a nice bulky section made just for this sucker,almost looks like a factory fit.

acewell is now mounted and just need to tidy the harness with some p clips

top pic is of the harness been shortens,still need to cover in a conduit but i can doo that whenn ever ,all connectors"well most" have been soldered and heatshrunk.

sorry to say mate but another colour would break all of the blue up quite nicely ,and get rid of those shitty rusted bolts on the bottom fork clamp because the rest of the new shiny stuff makes them look twice as bad ,by the way the bike is looking sweet .
weaselmans mate is doing the pinstripping on friday in sydney ,ive also repaired and painting the original aswell but im going to try my hand at marbilizing the paint in the shallow areas aswell,so it will be interesting to see if i can pull that of !!

mate have a yarn to weaselmans mate VON DAZ he was a top champ ,he wanted the whole bike there,he had a chat and a yarn,asked wat i liked ,told him and gave him free reign!!
even big kev told me a while ago to stripe her!! mind you he also gave me an idea of how to do my frame ,but at the time it wasnt possible,if i do another build id be doing as he and i chatted.and thats staying close to my heart aswell!!
VON DAZ marked it out ,weasel liked the left and i liked the right as well as DAZ and then he mixed the colour to as close as the frame and went to town,it the only part of this buld that isnt shed built!! and the rest is staying that way!!

oh and the smell of the sweet aroma of an amber fluid at 10 ish is so good ,but in typical form i went for freshly ground coffeee from around the corner,good spot there DAZ!!

Are those light brackets going to be strong enough? I had issues with 2 domi's on a bracket i made, yours is a little heavier looking, but they have a fair bit of weight in them and bounce around a bit when you're riding over bumps and shit.

its not the way i wanted the lights but the vrod light i ordered was incorrect and the hardley going parts dept wiped their hand off it ,so fuck em and i sent it back!!
so got the light from NEMO and this ill do till i get it sorted,just want to ride the fucker.

yeh agree rod but at the time i couldnt find a gixer one and i need to be able to carry a pillian "well the kids lol" but that is something i will adress later on as the wife said get it done or move onto house .

For those of you who havent heard ,my service advisor on thursday walked past my tls and jumped into a army FFR110 rover and reversed it so our forklift wouldnt hit it but he hit the front of the tls instead.
It scored the right fork leg,mildly but oh so noticebly,fucked the front mud gaurd.has a deep scratch in it right on the pinstripe work just done by VONDAZ in sydney,so it will need a full spray and bog job ,then take back down to daz for rework looks like the throdle cable hit tank aswell bott it may only be a dent in fresh clear"6"coats o clear.
The owner of compqny said sorry al nothing i can do.the genral manager walked past and smilled,and said bloke who did it is ashamed as he just bought a new 650 v star and offered to pay half the repair if work wont cough it up!!
It is registered and insured and was parked out the front of workshop waiting to go to the zorst shop to weld pipes!!
Surely this is covered by workshop insurance as it happened on work property.????
Im lying in bed pissed at work and the universe as i now find myself,looking for a new job if my boss doesnt change his mind as i wont work for someone who claims he is happy with my performance running the workshop.!!
And if that happens on monday ill walk out and loose the work ute and need to get a car for wat eva job i get as we need a second car,
And right now im looking at the solo seat cover hating this fucking bike .my insurance said they will cover but wont let me paint it and wont let me send gaurd away to be done by daz .they said it needs to be qouted by a pannel shop to be done for them to pay them and im fucked if im gunna ride a bike with a paint job thats not all mine and no longer shed built.

Hmmmm no monies owed on bike all the stock used was my own ,and the tools and equpment used was just spacers n shit .learning how to use lathe n shite ,boss said go make something and learn to use so you .dont bugger a paying job on lathe
All oiles n filters and stuff all paid for by cash .boss said he doesnt want me ridding bike and the ute is for me to use as i wish,when the seat is back and pipes welded as i dont want to use workshop welder for that very same reason.
All there is to do is ride,
I stripped the second bike at work with my own hand tools,and assembed at home with my own tools on the nights after work when i did work on my bike was because .dealing with land rovers and using autologic at least once a week i have to stay back to update the unit ,or wait to call the uk at 9 pm to talk to autologic uk about concerns with land rovers.i never claimed overtime as i looked at it as a give to get ,i gave several hours a week free labour at night and worked on bike whilst awaiting phone calls from uk and or the downloads as they cant be done during day

As a business owner if you had used my 'new' equipment, my property and possibly some of my stock (dont know youll have to be honest on that one) to build something that has nothing to do with work, have it hanging around long enough for it to get damaged ( its not like youve been using it as daily transport ) i know i would be pissed if you asked me to put it through my insurance.

There is no doubt he has insurance for vehicle damaged on his site in the normal course of business.... But shit happens youve got a good job see it for what it is cop it on the chin and move on, or put in a claim with your insurance and gamble your job for something that really isnt going to cost you a whole lot to repair just some fucking around.

Appologise and offer to pay .when it happend i thought ohwell ive got the dark blue still and clear and when he offers to pay or help i was going to say just pay for stripping.

Get back into it its not that big a job!

I have a three spare front guards to keep you on the road whilst yours is getting sorted if you need. I also have a couple of TLS front forks in black if you need a new leg etc.

learning curve ,fix it yourself,get old matewho hit it to pay for the stripping ,and park it in a better spot,id be mad as ,but they see it as good old Albi,hes cool it wont bother him.just approach said worker and say ok ,you can pay up for the stripes and see if he says sorry ,then.

ive got the clear,base coat and thinners etc ill have to take the day off and get VON DAZ to re-do the stripe work!
is it a biggie well no!!!

i just want to enjoy the bike for what i have built in my shed!!
there is only two things on my bike that have been done by someone else
1- VON DAZ stripe work
2- big kev and the seats
the rest is done by me
i have a very bad problem of NEVER finishing wat i start!!!!
and im so close but so far

is it a true streetfighter in my eyes hell no!!
the only mods done is top clamp with bars and twin head light thats all the rest off bike is stock suzuki tl1000s within reason as i want it to be fully safe when i take the kids and wife out for rides, hence why no suspention or seat mods!!

im having a rant but!! this is the best paint i have done im self tought and i am always like a bull out a gate when shit goes wrong.
i hate the fact some one hit it and it wasnt me at my own hands and it hurts thats all and this is the culprit

its so far from being done here is my wish list to go
1-busa radial front
2-the correct v-rod light
3-change the swing arm was going to get an apprilla item but ? boxer beat me.
4-send all alloy away for pollishing and anodising for uniform colour.
5-complete new pipe and make it sit under motor like EXBEN did on his TLR
6-change bars to a better bigger one to suit the busa front
7-redo harness to my liking and not rushing it this time.

Im with your wife on this one......not sure if the tan and orange works for me with all that blue???
Other than that,and the headlight,it's looking good.
The V-rod light should finish the front off nicely,and the under bike exhaust should clean up the back of the bike nice...i did similar to Ben's exhaust on my blade........ admittedly....a rather more crude backyard version!!
