Hi,
Does anyone know what size axle the front wheel has for a suzuki gsxr 600 2003 model. I am guessing is a 24mm but just to be sure I need your help guys.
Thanks

Shit, there's one in my garage as well, but I'm not going to be there for a while. Anyone else out there know? By the way, welcome to ASF Dune.

I can tell you it takes a 25X52X15 bearing if that helps.

so what sleeves the bearing down from 25mm to 24mm?
i have a k4 750 front end in my bike and it has no additional sleeves, the bearing inner race runs straight on the axle and i a 25mm bearing in it. can you get the bearing number off yours?
you have me curious and i really cant be fucked pulling thefront wheel off to measure mine

Here ya go mate the axle has a threaded collar on one end and a hex key insert on the other end - you can see the part of the hex key sticking out on the right hand side of the axle

you can buy one of these tools off egay (about $30 if you want to spend that much) or you can search around and find cheaper options/other ways to do it

yeah mate in oz the tool seems expensive but if you go to yr local engineering shop and ask for a piece of 24mm hex rod it might be a cheaper option - a real cheap version is to buy a set of tube spanners from bunnings for doing house tap seals n the like (think a pack of 4 or 5 assorted sizes is like $10 as I know one of the ends fits in there perfectly ;)
There is also a fella on UK egay that does a piece of 24mm hex rod delivered for about A$12 and arrives in 4-5 days but I couldn't find the link for it - you slide that inside the axle and then use a 24mm socket on the other end

mmmm. sound interesting. Ill give that a try, or else i will just try borrowing from a local bike mechanic shop Thanks for the heads up guys. never thought it will be this hard to find parts/tools for a bike. when you think there are more riders out there lately

so you are after the size of the spanner/hex not the axle size.
if thats the case i have no fucking idea, but the axle size where the bearings run is 25mm

Here's one I did earlier, grind the edges slightly of a 1/2 inch drive then hammer a nut on the end then weld, sorted.

Oh, forgot to mention woke up this morning, getting ready to go to work, then notice a bit different from my key ignition. Some low life tried to steal it. Now the biggest problem was I couldn't turn the key to start for about 45 minutes. I'm thinking of putting my alarm on it. Any Ideas where I can get a good installer around Liverpool guys!
Time to keep my eyes open tonight and catch this amatuers.

Pity you couldn't make it to the GP Ken , regulars were scattered with the overbooked trackside spilling into highside.
