DO IT!!!
Best mod i've done to the tiller for handling (closely followed by the bitubo rear shock)
http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/256894372114694.JPG
it'll make it change direction like an RGV!!!! :D
and dont worry about not being able to take them onto the next bike, couple of spacers would take care of most installations
no way i'd sell mine with the bike, worth more by themselves ;)
Ps- Bens prices are pretty fuckin reasonable actually! i paid over 2 for mine 2nd hand (the chrome cost extra)
Pps- If you want some chrome ones i would swap you for a different colour forged ally, they'd suit yours more than mine!

Yupp - much better - it makes the tank and tail look like the are sitting on top of a massive engine. Sometimes unbalanced can look great.

They do look good mate, but they have done one bad thing, they've drawn attention to that front mudguard. It's always let the bike down as far as I thought, and now you have the top shelf wheels on it is even more obvious. That bike is near perfect apart from that bloody guard! Still nice work though by the way mate.
suxukifreak
06-05-2008, 03:48 PM
Si, i want to change the guard but there is a limited choice.(USD guards are every where)
I had a carbon one on order when i got the rear hugger from Germany, but they sent a GSXR1000 guard.
A couple of guys on 1400.org have cut the standard guard down. [xx(]
If anybody can come up with a oldschool RWU fork front guard that blends in,
i will take a serious look at it. :)
As for the weight saving,
Old bare wheels...12kg
New bare wheels...10.1kg
hooligan
06-05-2008, 04:40 PM
I thought you'd save more weight than that, Des. The gold wheels look great, mate, with too much black, everything tends to blend in a bit.
If you can't find a RWU front guard, does that mean you'll have to get real forks?
