    First fighter project nearly done

Well this is it so far,I'm not very happy with it,probably should have done the engine blue.
But cant be bothered I'm sick of not having any transport.
Ive gotta paint the outside landings of the wheels blue and the stator cover, get a front guard and a pillion seat cowl, and replace the pissy muffler ( I have an RS3 off a bandit)then I'm done.
I think I may sell it and start a new project somfing a bit bigger.
Ok bring on the comments I can take it
    Cheers.

She looks pretty sweet mate! I'd like to see it with the final gaurd etc done to get the full impression. I reckon that might look better with all black wheels mate? Got any other angle photos?

I think it's BECAUSE there's so much black that is would work with shiny black wheels, either that or full polish. I'd avoid going any more blue, but hey, that's just my opinion.

To get an idea on rim colours, you can buy some cheap stick on rim stripes and fit them up. Mine cost me $30 and under an hour, for a very different look!

Often polishing the outer edge of the rim can be very cool, and much easyer than doing the whole thing!

Aside from that, your fighter looks quite cool I'd maybe go for a small flyscreen or sumfink, but that's just me

Sweet Ride there zaraloc, go with the blue on the outside of the rims like you said mate, I think it will pop with that look and yes coat the forks black.

Its a little digital one that runs off a magnet on the front inner disk.
    Cheers mate.

I can see how that rear wheel could look a bit crappy with the blue on it.
Oh well I can always pant black over the top
    Dunno I'll probly try both

Mate I reckon it looks great - the harshest judge is usually yourself.

I actually dont mind the black 3 quarter polish.

It could be worse mate - this is my first attempt at a streetfighter. This whole thing is an evolutionary process.

This was the second attempt - came out alright but then some one round here said the arse looked too fat....
    http://streetfighters.com.au/forum/t...Terms=zx12argh
so I modded and chucked an R1 tail on...
    http://streetfighters.com.au/forum/t...archTerms=done
I've since pulled off the engine cage it was too big and I dont wheelie it as much as I used to after I saw a cross-section of just how thin a 12r chassis is... I'm pulling it back into the shed in a matter of weeks for a complete overhaul and refresh. My plans are all sorted its just time I need now.

For me a good home built bike is all about vision and evolution. I'm starting to get closer to what I want - but then I'll probably change my mind after its done and start again
