I think I'll strip off the tupperware on monday after work Scotty and see what I'm working with, get the bars mounted etc then just go full retard with the tig and some stainless rod and plate and see what I come up with.

I have to make a new exhaust hanger bracket anyway so I'll tackle it when I do that. How's this for handy, I was digging around the shed last night and opened my locker looking for an unrelated part and found my Blueflame duel outlet exhaust I had on the Bandit years ago. Boom 4 bolt mount up.. sweet free exhaust..

On a side note, see the black smudgy bit on the mid pipe? it was a melted rubber type stuff I'm slowly getting it off with some scotch brite, soapy water and elbow grease but its making the titanium go silver..

I know nothing about titanium so my question is when I remove the black stuff and its all silver if I stick the oxy down the mid pipe will the heat make it colour back up??

Good stuff Gitzy, love the motivation. By the way, I have those Oberon bar end mirrors and they are a serious pain in the arse. They are fully clamped with hex grub screwes so you can't adjust as you ride. You will spend hours getting them set up and set. If you leave them slightly open on the grub they slip and even then, you only have lateral movement. They do look good though....

Nothing like NFR looming to kick you in the arse Si, them mirrors are actually el cheapo $28 I did put a set of Oberon ones on the R1 and know exactly what you're talking about though. I have these cheapys on the bandit and DARE I say I actually think they're better quality than the $160 Oberons.

The rad temp sensor is a little pokey out the front, so good ol Acewell make an inline temp sensor that I can mount behind the radiator so it's a bit more out of the way.

I have one of those I could have given you, gitz.
It has an extra nipple underneath that I added for my Vfr, though.

Not sure yet Scotty, I do ride like a bitch so I'm not sure I'll miss it. I'll wait till the headlight arrives to see where it sits. It might fit.

Bugger Chris, not to worry it's in the mail now anyway so all good.

I took the top clamp of today to reroute the switchgear wiring and throttle cables etc..

I'm cheaping out and just drilling the original yoke but I'm pretty sure one of my holes will end up smack bang on the S logo which is inset I f I remember Jules' job.. so I had some of this liquid steel stuff in my tool box and thought I'd give it a go apparently good to grind/drill/etc. We'll see shall we.. so I roughed it up and packed it in..

Pulled the front calipers off yesterday to give them a good scrub and maybe a coat of black caliper paint.

Also pulled off the rearsets tidied them right up and refitted with the lowering plates, came up a treat and should give me a little more leg room. Fitted a new brake clevis too from vandriver left over one from the TL collection.
