thanks heaps Si, yup its a high time to test what ive been building for almost 4 good years...

    thanks for the hints Jack!
do you mean you run injection only mode without spark control on your ms?
i use gm's ait and ct sensors from diyautotune bought with the ecu and all
so you say that you use an id 1/2" cutoff without baffles and advise to use a carb's fuel filter which is baffled, so which is preferable?
im mostly worries about cutting off the ignition unit coz its tied up with relays and stuff... probably i'll have to swap them stock relays for the side stand and signals for universal auto relays like i did for my virago project. rewiring makes you feel like a dead neck until you did it yousel wire by wire lol

Hay Surt, my microsquirt does spark and fuel, I just meant I ran the wires for these taped to the gsxr loom, while the sensor wiring I ran on the other side of the subframe to keep some separation.

For the ignition, because the microsquirt just switches the negative, I used one of the original coil positive feeds from the gsxr loom to feed the coils. This way, no other changes are needed, the kill switch on the bars still works etc. I just unplugged the stock cdi unit. All seems to work ok

If you do it this way the sidestand switch still cuts the ignition if put into gear via the stock sidestand relay. It doesn't rely on the stock cdi for any of this functionality.

Ok. So with the MAP reference. You need as smooth a signal as possible.
So by taking a reference from all 4 TB's you will get a rapidly pulsing signal. This can be smoothed by using a restrictor in each of these 4 tubes. So a beat way I found to do this was to use mig welding tips screwed into a block or something to make a little manifold. I just used a piece of pipe because it's what I had. But you could use a block of alloy crossed drilled for example. These restrictor will act to slow the rate of change in direction of the pulses thud smoothing them s bit. Then the final step I'd a small filter in the line from the vacuum manifold to the map sensor only. This extra volume acts as a final buffing chamber to absorb and smooth what is left if the inlet pulses. Using this system I went from a pulsing map value that was swinging 20 kpa to one that fluctuated 0.3 - 0.6 kpa at idle.

All the sensor wiring so tps, IAT, CLT, crank VR sensor, map etc. So, shield the coil and injector wiring back to the ecu and if possible, keep it physicaly separate from the wiring for the sensors if possible, but, all systems are different so might be some trial and error as well.

    i see, thanks heaps mate
does it make sense to ground the shield sleeves?
and yup, ive been about to run the ms wiring on the left side of the frame while the main wiring is on the right

Yep, earth the sheild but only at one end to avoid circulating currents on the shield.

Holy fuck Surt, don't tell me your going to fit 12 of those LEDs in that you were using to illuminate your neighbours yards with!

    dash board mock up

    mask's mounts mock up

extended titanium banjo bolt for the dampener

no matter how cool a bike is it needs a battery box

hopefully there'll be enough room for relays and fusebox too...

    cree leds base

    head job!

the 1st variant of the dampener mount would narrow the steering angle and hit against the frame down tubes so i fabbed (just a mockup tho) another one cheap'n'fast

    the neck

    a 7" tablet's tray

    trying on

slow but sure im coming to wiring the monster

the headlight finished just waiting for a lexan sheet for a screen to come from the septic lands
and my tablet'd become old and out dated before it began to work with the ecu, so ive had to buy a new one cripes!

anyway, the headlight shines like a welder, one leds fucked up tho

Holy fuck! I wouldn't want to be riding towards you mate. Are they directional with a limited spread? Can you angle them so you don't blind anyone but still melt bitumen?
