    New subframe brackets.

I got some time to make up some new subframe brackets.

Went & got some aluminium flat bar,

Traced my cardboard templates onto the flat bar & grabbed my jigsaw, ended up with these,

    This is how they look,

Might paint them black, not sure yet. Anyway, took me around 3 hours to make.

And I gotta say thanks to xa-mont & wackyrider for offering to draw the brackets up in there computers for the water jet people, its guys like you that make this forum AWESOME !!

Thanks, Yep, I saw Surt's rear set adapters & thought maybe I should try that, so I grabbed my jigsaw.
Would have been nice to have had them water jet cut, but a few people told me they would of charged an arm & a leg.
Thanks again for the offer xa-mont !

Thanks Gix11, you were the first one to question those brackets & I thank you for that.

Like I said in my first post, "might need some help along the way"

I got a 07 cbr1000rr rear fairing, it's busted up a bit, but I'm going to try some thing with it. A little cut & chop.

Also got a cbr600rr rear seat, think it was 2008 (to tired to think right now) it is a little bit small, but should do the job for now.

You can see in this pic, one of the cracks, around 15cm's long, there is also 2 more cracks on the other side.
And you can also see how the cbr600rr seat is a little bit small.

Going to try & plastic weld the cracks with my soldering iron,

If it doesn't work I might just put some 1000 stickers over the crack, cause the crack is about the same spot the original stickers go. See how it goes, not to fussed if it doesn't work.

Not sure how strong it will be ? Might need to melt some plastic zip ties into it.

And if you didn't notice, I have cut around 17cm from the rear of the fairing.
I new it was going to be to long from the start & was always planning on giving it the chop.

The R/R should get plenty of air in there.

Got some vents for the rear fairing.

Going to drill some holes in the back of the right hand side vent so more air gets to the R/R,

    Starting to come together,
