Thread: 2013 Xmas Drags - CONFIRMED (with conditions)

Latheboy...I know that when the flag drops the bullshit stops but in future what would be the chance of getting a dyno on the day? -- next year-ish....maybe.

I had planned on doing a dyno day before the event but time has got away from me.
I have a mobile bike dyno but I won't get it there this year. I might talk to Russ and see if he is ok with me bringing one next year.

    1. Wet weather / wash out. Will there be a postponed event, refund or cancellation with forfeit of monies? or cross that bridge when we get to it?
    2. $130 is the only cost with no CAMS or MV license / fee to pay?
    3. Scrutineering....Just so there aren't any tantrums on the day what are the minimal requirements as set out by the operators of Heathcote?
    4. Is it one entry fee for as many bikes as you can fit in a semi trailer or is the entry fee payable per bike? ( only ask for others that had this issue on the first event)
    5. Who is doing the pizza run? Or is there deep fried catering into the night? Perhaps we could make it easier on the venue by taking orders late afternoon so they dont have wastage or staff hanging around. (?)
    6. So there are no surprises whats the grog cost so that sufficient cash can be on hand? - I know previously that beer was at RSL prices but those carrying handbags whinged about the cost of Stolli.
7.Why the fuck isn't everyone on this?

Having been at the first event and seeing a very large and extremely angry owner of the Venue in his tattered grundies screaming over the PA at a naked ferret performing a skid near the bar it should be abundantly clear that under no circumstances should any engine be started at the conclusion of the days event.
As Deano put it.....Respect to the venue for having us. Anyone that fucks this up may find themselves down any one of the numerous mineshafts located around the area.
Work on drinks at bar prices. $4 a can last year i believe

    I entry per bike . 2 bikes = 2 entries

Scrutineering is common sense safety. looking at the rider list every one knows what that is and if you don't you should not be working on a bike

As mentioned the canteen will be open

glad to see the event went ahead , but checked flight prices today and have doubled in price since last month and I wasn't going to book them then if it wasn't a certainty so its just not going to happen this year for me, will just have to do our own west coast one

It's a shame, but the need to clarify the entry fees & conditions has become apparent because there's always someone who has to take the piss or cheat the system or both, it states very clearly on the first post of this thread that it costs $130 to ride.

Pretty self explanatory isn't it? No? OK, I'll spell it out for you - you cannot enter yourself as a rider & your mate as a spectator & share 1 bike.
This is not like sneaking into the Campground at the GP - it's OK to rip off a huge faceless corporation, it's not OK to rip Russell off & jeopardise the event for the rest of us.

There was never any intention of ripping anyone off but thanks for that.
And that was cleared up in private this arvo thanks Dean.
I was under the impression it was a bike entry but like I say all cleared up this arvo.

That's where the misunderstanding came from.

    No cars sorry mate.

Ice. - at this stage prepay through the web store. If you were to rock up on the day I would advise having the exact cash on you
