Difficult to tell from the two photos mate, but I'm sure lower will look better as it gives the effect you mention every time.

Hey Damo what clamps have you used to attach the front guard on to the fork legs as Im looking at getting a Duke guard and I think it may be a similar thing to what you have

Hueyonoblade ive just just made up some brakets out of alloy angle off the front
axle retaining bolts then up under the guard.
The guard i used was off a 996duc.

Ive dropped it about 50mm from the top triple its not a great photo but you can sort of
see it from the top triple if you look close.

zx12argh i have the same lights and if you do use the bike in the evening on a regular basis then these arent the best as they are only household 12v down lights. there good enough to get you out of trouble though.

i actually like them a bit higher. I think lower makes your bars stick out a little. I think the fairing higher cleans it up and makes the front more uniform. thats a cool color on there. Lucifer Orange?

As for those lights, I've got a set on my ZX9 but I changed the inner bulbs to 35W (they're 20W standard). The inners are the same size as your regular household downlights, so they're available from your local hardware you just have to make sure you get narrow beam ones (I think mine were 16 degrees pitch). That makes them heaps brighter. I shyed away from the 50W ones - just in case they melted the fairing or overloaded the circuit.

    Still, they're pretty crap.....

deerrrr i didnt think to change em over but good advice with the pitch hillsy. they wouldnt fry the wiring as long as they arent a a higher Wattage than your original globes but the plastic may be another issue?
