Monaro Highway
Anybody ridden the Monaro Highway in vic lately ? If so whats the trafic like road conditions etc. On the map it looks nice to ride.

Yep,after the Superbikes in feb,from Cann River to Cooma,the road was fine with about 2ks of road works,no dramas,didnt see any boys in blue either.

it's not the most exciting road in the world. has a few nice bits but there is a lot of straightish bits too. Jules and I went up that way to NFR.

yeah bit straight... i might be a bit of a hater though because i've gone up and down it probably 100 times (when i lived in canberra i used to come down home about every week or so) a lot of the bits would be fun at very high speeds, but at anything close to legal they're a bit too straight. nice scenery though.

As I said Trav, if you're scared of gravel you mgiht get upset. It was around 15k worth in the middle if I remember rightly, BUT it's 110k of the best twsity logging track you'll ever ride apart from that. Even if you just go to the gravel bit in the middle you'll get the experience. It starts at Orbost and goes to Delegate. Even after that it's awesome long sweepers.
