So I'm looking at an ultrasonic cleaner on egay its a 2L one with a 140x150x100 tray
So would be big enough to do carbs in and that is really all I want it for.
Worth buying or should I just ratchet a electric sander to a 20L bucket?
What r your thoughts?

Hey, don't buy that it's shit.
Get a decent sized one and it's one of those things that you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.There are some good cleaners on the market but to be affordable you really will need to get Chinese made although Australian made US cleaners are far superior. Having said that though the Chinese one can be upgraded later with the important parts.
Other thing is don't listen to those people that say I use vinegar,baking soda, dishwasher tabs or my wifes cunt juice cause it's all bollocks. Use a proprietary cleaning solution such as Brulin and turn the temp up to about 60 degrees C and you'll be a happy chappy and find yourself cleaning every fuckin thing you own.
The're an awesome bit of kit and easy to use but the bigger you buy the longer it takes and the more lectricity you need to use to heat the solution and it can become a bit of a factor.

there is a hot water system 1.8kw heater ellement in that s/s tube.
I built it when the heaters died in scotty's cleaner and you couldnt buy new ones
Ozzys house of Dodgie, love it. I copyed a kit from jacar electronics and used a old 60L electric urn (from a tea ladys cart or some shit) It's still cleaning gun parts 5 years later cost about $80 most parts bought second hand. Used the transducer from and old boat depth sounder.

Tell me about pressure heat n water , I'll pop up some photos on FB off a turbo charged wood gassifier doohicky in a month or so . The water side is a pain in the ass to keep safe, gone with a header tank to gravity feed and keep pressure low etc etc.
Sorry for the thread diversion, Kiwi Simon has the wizz bang gear why not pack it up in a post pack and get Stiff to clean em for you ? Be cheaper than building you own and quicker .

X2 for the high temp.. my understanding is you want no less than 45 dec but you want up to the 60 dec mark but imo I would keep under 60 dec for safety.

So I ignored stiffie coz he's a pom ( more coz I didn't want to spend more than a hundy, I would have loved one big enough
To dunk a head or barrels in but they r spendy!!! And with my time now at a premium I just bought the lill fella.
I used some simple green outdoor cleaner( all I had) at 1:1 I was tempted to use black manic degreaser but was a bit weary of chemiclals and heating them.
Set at 60deg for 20 mins X 3 this is my result, not bad but I think I need a harsher solution to speed things up, any sugestions?
Best thing to do is get them aqua blasted first and then put them through your US cleaner.Maybe find out which industry/engineer shop un your area uses a US cleaner and see if you can buy a litre or two of US cleaning solution off them
