They put a new set on and it handles great!

And red 130 is just the start of top gear......

    more titanium than my bike

Btw boys and girls I'm almost finished the new jig for Scotty's crank rebuilds
If you know any 1 with old school kwaka or even if we are sick that day
suzi roller cranks and you don't want to spend 2.5k to 3.5 k for a felecon crank in states.
Trust me when I say more than a bit of effort and a life time of exp has gone into makeing these things
a lot truer and better than anything else I have come across :-))

I rode the new KTM990 smt at work yesterday (in fact I have ridden 87 different bikes in the last week)........WHAT A FUKIN WEAPON!!!!!!!!! I want one.

But until I win lotto I'll have to stick with my 640, which with its new 40 tooth rear is a lot more lively down low,
I could probably go up to a 42 and drop the front to 16 and really have some fun, but I'm doing 45km a day on it so I need to be particle, and I wanna stay on it too.

I also spent a few hours cable tying, greasing, tightening, cleaning all that stuff you wanna do to a new bike, I also swapped out the old 60/55 headlight bulb for a 100/90 so I can see and I turned the headlight up the rite way (after it just passed a RWC)

I'm looking at getting a MX rear guard of another bike and chopping the subframe down to spruce up the look a bit too.

RIGHT!!!! Ripped into my engine today,

I'm pretty happy with what I have found, the head is in great condition, I reckon a valve grind and clean and it's done.

The barrels need a bit of work, I can still see the hone marks but however long sitting idle has produced some surface rust,
I may get away with just a hone but I need to look at them a bit more:
But no scores or burn marks! Yay!!!!

    Cyl 1:

    Cyl 2:

    Cyl 3:

    Cyl 4:

    The slugs look good!

The rods are tight as (insert dirty pun here)

Overall berry fucken happy with my $300 engine!

If anyone has any info on the markings and numbers on the slugs and rods please let me know.

Rite I have found out the slugs are a WIESCO 1105 cc kit for a Z1000J so maybe standard for a GPZ11??

Pulled the bottem end down this arvo and in super happy with what I have found.
    -clutch looks mint
    -crank looks mint
    -gears look mint
In fact it looks like a brand new bottom end!

And this is how my shed looks at the moment, I'm going to sort out some form of work bench tomorrow.

Yeah I have only had a quick look over it, there is a very very small bit of side play on the big ends but i think thats acceptable,
    no up or down movement
The mains roll smooth and quietly.

What else should I be looking for mate?

    "nobody beats super a mart"

Even for garage work bench's..... Got a new dining table with one chair for $89!
I couldn't even buy the material to build myself a bench for that.

Where are my head studs you ask?

So I cleaned all the gaffa tape off my bearing surfaces and the next step is to clean all the glass beads out of the oil galleries, I don't wan any of those little bastards floating around!
