Thanks Pete, but I don't need them.
Hooked up a coolant bottle this arvo, I think it's marginally better than the clear plastic one but I'm not that impressed.

Gave it a wipe over on the weekend, probably the cleanest it will ever be so took a pic.
I will locate the coolant bottle to beside the oil filter using a 100mm x 90mm aluminium cylinder, should look like the other engine covers when complete.
Picked up a second hand PC111 off ebay and booked some dyno time for this Monday, will be interesting to see how time has treated it. I hope he can work around my wiring.........
Nice result mate.
Ladies and Gentelmen, take my advise. "Pull down your pants and slide on the ice."
if i had posted that chart ,id be told that the dyno ,doesnt show true readings, and that its all wrong and my bike couldnt have that much power, lol ,nice one Stu,
wait for it.

Seriously though. Good stuff Stu.
i wasnt putting shit on Stu,good spec sheet good power.

A sheet from the same dyno with a stock bus would be a great comparason.
Frankly I was just trying to clean it up, it was sketchy as fuck around town, almost had to ride the clutch going through the main street to stop it chugging.
It's much smoother now, just really flat grunt right through with no sudden rush, it's pretty full on.
My GSXR1000 had about the same hp on the same dyno but without the clip ons and fairings the busa almost pulls my arms off.
I thought it may have made a few more Hp and possibly more 5 - 10 more Nm so I was a little surprised there but it's got plenty for now, oh well at least until I do the next 1/8th mile drags here, if I can't break into the 6's I'll look at more improvements, maybe NOS or some cams or something, not looking at turbo at the moment but we'll see what happens.
I'll spend the next few weeks getting it up to standard for the ride to Phillip Island and back, making sure that everything is weather proof, near drowned riding there in 2010.
Yeah, I agree, I don't think it's breaking any records but it would be good to see exactly what the few mods it does have has done above or below a stock model.
The guy who dyno'd it said he was impressed with the package, but being a skeptical cunt I just assumed he was pissing in my pocket. I like it, it's got more grunt than I know what to do with........for now.
Grabbed a set of the adaptors that Kev is using on his Busa and gave them a try, fitted up ok but still need to bleed them and go for a ride. I'll report back once I've done that, it's pretty tight tolerances so I hope it all fits right.
Grabbed another coolant bottle off ebay, I'm still not 100% happy but it's better than both the stock one and the drink bottle I had. It doesn't hold as much as the drink bottle but holds about the same as the stock unit although I'm a bit worried about the room for expansion only being about 200ml.

OK, I just bled the brakes and went for a squirt to bed the pads in, the more I rode it the better they got but if you want a rating well just say that the GSXR1000K5 I had with iron rotors, sintered pads and steel lines is 100% and the stock Busa is 50% then these would come in somewhere around 70-75%. It has improved the feel greatly but has only added somewhat to the braking capability. One finger would be fine for dawdling around town but to pull it up fast you still need two fingers and a decent grip, at lease now I can modulate the lever and feel what's happening when I do grab it hard. So for the cost of the adaptors, pads and calipers, about $300 all up, it's probably better off saving another $500 and getting the whole front end, but if you are starting to run out of coin like me then this is a good poor mans option.
really nice job Stu.
Stu what bike are the calipers off?
I think they are off a K5 gixer, I can't find the paper work, but pretty sure it was K5.
Interesting info about the brakes.
I agree with you about cost v radials.
If you ever go radial that front end would
now be a good upgrade for a Bandit or
Old Skool GSX etc.
