    You've just built a Better B-King than Suzuki !
I can't count how many times I've heard that over the last week.

Brakes and water bottle is next. I was talking to someone about the coolant bottle today and we thought a bit of vinyl tube coiled around on top of the engine case wrapped in heat wrap might work. I hate the bottle, it will disappear as soon as I figure out what to do with it.

I love my B-King, its a real heavy hitter of a factory naked
with some decent running gear. Had it nearly 5 years!

.... but, you'll find yours is shorter, lighter, has more leg room,
bigger fuel tank and doesnt look like a baboons arse.

In fill panels on mine were made from flat sheet and sprayed in crinkle finish black
then given a thin edgeing trim. Jim at HMR knocked them up when he had it in.

Never bought anything off "Wild Hair" but use them to see whats about.

Bought their GSG bellypan and billet clock mounts but from the UK.

They do header tank/ reservoir covers and tank in-fill's but not to everyone's taste...

Spent a good part of the afternoon wiring in the speedo, I was going to mount it on the bars but there was a perfect sized spot down on top of the headlight, it's only velcro'd in at present but I'll make a little bracket for it on the weekend.

I melted the tiny menu button the they supply, well I think I did it simply didn't work so I found this one, I think it looks better anyway.

You have to have an ASF radiator cap don't you.

Took the tank off to paint it on Friday. I noticed that the tape around the harness was a little unwrapped where the harness passes back into the tail section so went about re-taping it and the stator wires basically fell out of the connector. The plug showed some signs of heat damage but was reusable. While the primer dried I got the soldering iron back out.

The primer dried quick but the top coat was still tacking this morning after being applied about 4pm on Saturday. I used some flood light on it all day and it eventually went off enough to fit the tank back on the bike late this afternoon.

I really like how it's turned out so far but there is still 100 little things I want to fix or change, along with some big things like the front end and coolant bottle.

Thanks guys. I put a few litres of petrol in it this morning after getting it all back together and dribbled a bit on the tank, wiped the petrol off and a chunk of top coat come off with it, I was not impressed. I
'll wait until summer before I even bother painting it again, for now it'll be a rattle can touch up.

Moved the speedo sensor to the rear caliper, much better, patched up some more wiring (does that ever end fark).

Put a 45t rear sprocket on it, couldn't budge the front cog, I'll find an electric rattle gun and drop it down one tooth as well.

Finally took it for a squirt this arvo, fark me the larger sprocket on the back opens your eyes up but the fueling is poor, I don't know whether to get a Power Commander or reflash it. The guy who reflashes them wants a A/F run on a dyno before he reflashs, I thought if I have to pay for dyno time I may as well just get a PC and be done with it.

Thanks again guys, I really enjoyed doing this.

Ladies and Gentelmen, take my advise. "Pull down your pants and slide on the ice."
