My posts were to point out that pleanty of people in Australia do the things that you are talking about and worse for no particular reason at all rather than religion. As for the stoning I'm sure that if the catholics could get away with it then yes they still would be.
Without even mentioning that I'm fairly confident there are plenty of people in Australia who aren't religious who would love to stone criminals to death and do worse if they had half a chance.
We can argue about this forever but the fact of the matter is you will never change my mind nor me yours so why bother.
