fitted the TLr 6 pots today & also remaped my ECU with the makbox.
    settings are as:

    TPS:
    1: 2.5 dur
    2: 5 dur
    3: 7.5
    4: 5
    5: 5
    6: 5

    with 2 on low speed

    makbox instructions & makbox pic:

    http://www.tlzone.net/forums/showthr...ghlight=makbox

makbox is a yosh cough box cough copy but with finer settings hence the 6 duration settings = double the adjustement positions for throttle position than a yosh box and finer settings for duration - 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 instead of the yosh box L M H, 1/3 each of total throttle movement...
yosh box settings for my mods would be
    +5+5+5

    hows it go ?

like letting a wild cat out of a bag. LOL

it took 15 min to properly setup my ECU to the mods its well worth it.
    it made a big improvement.

the makbox takes up no room on the bike & you dont use the powercomander.
yes the makbox is like a Powercomander but nothing like a powercomander if you know what i mean.

with the power comander you leave it on the bike connected with you custom map so it tricks/fools the stock ECU. (its good but its crude especialy the PCII which have been known to give problems at times)(PCIII has just been released for TLs & TLr's...BUT...no maps yet being so new.

dont get me wrong though the PCIIIr is good for track/race use where the average streetrider would not use the PCIIIr to its full use.

the makbox is very simular to a yosh box you plug it in reprogram your ECU then disconect. BUT the makbox does more finer settings.

    EXAMPLE: with my mods.

    yosh box:

    +5
    +5
    +5

    makbox: with my mods.
my latest settings im doing tomorrow.

-1.5 or -2 at low speed (Just try it - if the engine will NOT rev correct at 1200rpm give it only a -1 or 0 at low speed)

    TPS:
    1: 5 duration
    2: 2.5 duration
    3: 2.5 duration
    4: 2.5 duration
    5: 5 duration
    6: 5 duration

then you have the... teka: (the best on the market IMHO)

I might be interested in one, i have a gsx1400 and a mate with a busa. So there is no dyno time involved and any idea of the price?

I'd be interested as well. Looking at some mods in the near future that will make it necessary to re-tune the Busa. I was going to go to the local bike shop that has a TEKA, but with that it would be a return visit with every change.

Price of the mak.boX would help and is it idiot proof ??

    Cheers Rich

ive just recived an update on them:

We're working on getting vynil labels cut so that they won't fade but other than that it's essentially the same. There may be a minor variation on the color scheme but I thinkt the yellow is going to stay.

They work on all EFI suzuki motorcycles made from 1997 to 2003...and some '04 models.

Be sure to let me know...I've got 3 more I'd like to sell to make this bunch an even 10...
then i'll start on the next batch if enough interests.
My rate is $200 USD includes postage.

then i'll paypal to him the $200USD.
