POWER COMMANDER v's RAPID PC UNIT

    gidday all,
i want to get some people's opinion.

i was looking at a powercommander for the gixxer.
but a kinda new product is a rapid bike pc unit by dimmsport (no, not as in the mag)

whilst the power commander recieves "holy grail'" status, many think its over hyped.

the rapid bike is programmable in every gear, & seems to be alot more modern.

can anyone help offer pro's & cons or advice in this regard?

Power commander PC3 USB ????? If its the USB it offers alot easier access and fly by wire prgramming, One is being set up for the Z I dont know much abut the rapid but the PC give us usable streetable mappings without being a sort of dedicated Drag racer ECU

sorry Boh, but this is how dumb i am...

i dont know the difference between the usb & a complete pc unit....

from what i understand, both are installed simimarly, & have to be put on a dyno to be mapped. the rapid product seems alot more "tunable".

then again, the only guy to tune a powercommander is ten 10th's engineering. the guy is a master for custom mapping.

finally, dont you need the right type of dyno to get a good map - ie, slow, mid & high speed mapping & not jsut flat open like many of the carpier jobs?
