GSx 1400 Turbo
I noticed there are a few guys on here interested in 1400's so I thought I'd post a picture of my bike. I built everthing myself, I'll post more details if anyone is interested. It's a K6 totaly standard except for the late model Rb20 Skyline turbo and associated parts, No bling here sorry. I finished it about 3 weeks ago.

The bike is loud, I'm going to fit a muffler when I get my tax back, but the Turbo quietens it down quite a bit. It's a little louder at idle than when the bike had a yoshi full system and stumpy yoshi muffler. I wanted to build it up as stock as possible. I'm trying to sit on the boundaries of streetfighterdom and in doing so stand out from the crowd. There are plenty of fiber/plastic kitted 1400's out there. I still have to paint the induction tubing and plenum. I'm going to paint them factory black with the slight metallic flake. I was going to powder coat that stuff but it will be easier to touch up if I do it in 2 pac.
Anyway, The bike has never been on a dyno and probably never will, I tune it with an Innovate Motorsports A/F Monitor and datalogger and it works a treat. It's running 7 Psi at the moment which is plenty until I get used to the power. The boost comes on at 3000rpm and above 40% throttle opening so it rides like a standard bike until you crank it. I went for the big turbo because these things have PLENTY of grunt down low so turbo lag is non-existant. It's a hoot to ride and the closest thing to compare it to is a ZX14/busa on song but at half the rpm.
The Specs on the system are as follows:
4 into 2 into 1 steam pipe turbo manifold(made that way due to tight packaging)
Alloy Plenum (6mm thick!!) and integrated GFB BOV(not pictured yet)
Stainless Steel piping which runs under bike, through swingarm and into bottom of plenum.
PC3 USB with multi function hub and GM 2 bar map sensor
RB20 Ceramic BB Turbo(Good for about 300hp at the wheel)
Rb20 turbo injectors(20% bigger than stock)
Exhaust was made by my mate Stuart At Racers Choice because I could not be bothered making it myself and his work is top notch.
I Ran out of cash so the exhaust is only half finished I'm going to finish it off with a 12inch long supercatt muffler(they are cheap but look trick)
I've probably forgoten some stuff but that's the basics.
Thanks for the positive feedback Guys!!

I like that you have done it your way, rather than following a crowd

Nice... Looks very tidy, good size turbo going by the revs it comes in at
I used those turbo's on a 750 several yrs ago but couldn't get much life out of them and eventually went to the non ceramic wheel/plain bearing type, i think it depends on just how much use the turbo has had previously, mine were most likely hi milage ..
