I thought about that. i heard that the 950 kit can cause problems as there isn't much material left in the cylinder walls after boring. and the other thing the the 13:1 comp. ratio. i've got my turbo setup running 10.5:1. I tried a set of JE 74mm pistons but i had all sorts of grief with the fucked up XA style oil rings so I went back to stock pistons, ceramic coated. all good but it's starting to use oil.

Speak to JE, they will custom make pistons to whatever spec you require. I have had them make custom pistons for various applications, the last set were for the blue FZR1066 hybrid motor in "Harold" which is featured in the Feb streetfighters mag issue 216 that has Yans twin turbo Gixxer on the front.
The cost of having the custom pistons made isn't as expensive as you might think. I'm about to have a set made for a high compression drop in 77mm set with 12.5-1 C/R for my Z750/1000/ZX9R hybrid motor that I'm currently building, you can specify whether you want XA or XC rings and whatever C/R you want.

funny you mention that. i just got off the phone with them. unfortunately XA rings are the only ones available for 74mm pistons.
i'm looking down the other road of new cylinder liners.
