    91 Gixxxer..............99% There!

Long and the short of it a great M8 of mine bought this new in 91 and raced it for a coulpe of years , it was then put back to stock and he sold it to his brother , his brother has basically treated it with contempt and neglect so it has been reclaim to be rebourne [^]. Having a little previuos experience I was asked to have a crack at it which is proving to be challenging and I have barely started .[:I]
This is how she was when I got her ,

And here she is as a work in progress with the fat bars and original sub cut clear , I have made up the top sub mounts for the 04 ZX 6 sub and seat unit and the bottoms mounts to come hopefully tommorrow then Im of to the Alloy welder to get them soughted , I have a few things with Rupert getting powder coated , the USD forks have been re -anodised black so hopefully she should be starting to get put back together at the end of next week with the olins rear shock to go in

Yeah Large she is your high quality home brand oven cleaner as when I ground down the old sub frame point where they were welded to the frame the clear odising was removed back to the edge of the frame so it would have looked shit so the top frame rail had to be all polished (by hand not even my bike[V] that sucks )
Come on fimp an old time pro like yourself should know that if a first post is this big it can only me that im a lazy cunt and couldnt have been bothered doing it earlierits already been in the shed for a month.

Well I have had a busy weekend , got the paint back from Al (Gibbo to the layman)on friday evening, BTW Awsome job mate with stripes , so to many beers friday night ment that the re-assembly had to be started on Saturday , Over all Im pretty bloody happy with the end results and believe it or not so is the owner so thats a double bonus , the only thing that still has to be done is to tune the carbies hopefully tomorrow ,set the speedo settings, shorten the clutch cable , change some bolts and other little odd bits and pieces and I wish I had of done it earlier but I have finally talked my mate into pulling the motor out and giving it a coat of black but thats next month at least.......What do you guys recon[?][:I]

I'm in agreement with regards to painting the front guard although I think it would look best with white down the outside and the red centre. Only my opinion though which ultimately means nothing.

I would also try and tuck in the clutch cable but apart from that it's beautiful.

The old school paint job looks the goods and you've done a fantastic job on the rest. now all she needs is that engine recoloured and your home and hosed...
