Tyre destroying, mad bastard menace
When setting up one of the new ACE 3963 Dashes I found a out a couple of neat features. The bar graph tacho can be set to either an 8000 or 16000 RPM range & the Fuel gauge can be turned off if it's not required.
Here's a pic of these two settings activated.[8D]

Ben, i'm runnin the 3853 which i got 2nd hand from Mad. the wiring diagram shows a resistor i think in the fuel wire,do i need that to stop the fuckin thing flashing at me? Does the RPM wire also have one? and does the rpm wire need to be 2 metres long? Just 1 more dumb question, the wheel magnet...does polarity or size matter?
thanks for listening
yours sincerely

To stop the fuel light flashing you can either earth it & it will read full or earth it through a 100ohm resistor & it will read empty.
The tach wire can attach to either the existing tach wire at the dash ,or connect to the - side of #1 coil or even wrap around one of the plug leads, the 1meg resistor (supplied with the dash) is only used if the dash reading is erratic. No the wire doesn't need to be 2m long actually the shorter the better ( less chance of interference)
No, polarity on the magnet doesn't matter but positioning does, the smaller the magnet the closer the sensor would need to be.
