Hi PP, how long have you been riding ?
Instructors bikes are good if you are very new at the whole riding game, you can crash them and not feel too bad.
Whereas scratching up your NSR would be most uncool.

There's a few guys here who can shadow you too if you need it PP, depending on where you live.

Howdy... no havent organised lessons yet. Im slack! Got a mate who has offered whenever he has time. Do get the occasional chance with my partner but very few and far between.
Oh yeah... I live in Gosnells. Hopefully might take a ride to Dwellingup this w/end

Perthstreetbikes.com have a list of shadows (including myself and Billywhizz) that volunteer for shadow duties for cases just like this as we know the value of getting time on the bike for new riders. Not everyone has a dad or brother or whatever who can take them riding every week.
There can be a few dills on the PSB site, but this is one of the things they do really well, help new riders.
You will usually have no trouble finding someone to shadow you if you ask.
They also have weekly learner/newbie rides but if you are not yet confident, I would steer clear of them for the moment. They can get a bit hectic at times.
Join up, introduce yourself and give it a go.
Good luck with it.
