    Fowles Auctions

Are there any ASF members that regulary attend the Fowles auctions in Melbourne or Sydney? That can tell what some of the prices 1000+cc sportsbikes go for? Also if anyone would be interested in inspecting and maybe bidding on some for me. Ofcourse ill pay you for your time.

I go about 2 or 3 times a year usually bidding for someone else. Prices vary wildly. Big Honda 4 cylinder models, , R1's , GSXR1000 and Busa's always fetch silly money. Honda V twins typically go between $3-6K , big Kwak's average $3-4k and Aprillia about $10k. It varies wildly depending on the model, damage, Stat Write Off or Not, number of Lebs at the auction(Lebs go crazy bidding on sports bikes) and the number of bike wreckers there. Some models always attract top dollars and even if you are a winning bidder it doesn't guarantee you'll get it(reserve & all). All up though, Fowles is alot better to buy from than Pickles for alot of reasons so stick with them. I live not far from the Fowles Smithfield yard so give me a yell if you need extra piccys/inspection from there.

Ive been to the melbourne auctions a few times....
You can never guess what the bikes are going to go for.Depends how many people are there and what they are after but it's easy to get into a bidding war.

From what i've heard Townsville is the best value for money
