Geez the guy with the Sern Fitty sure doesnt do things by halves... Which bits of him did they find ?

And considering you can get an immaculate 97/1100 on Ebay most days for $3500 to $4000... makes it seem not that much of a bargain.

This is EXACTLY what Im after

    http://www.motorcycledisposals.com.a...000%20Page.htm

But thats EXACTLY what they are going for with no damage on Ebay...

    I dont get it [?]

Do you think he would listen to $5000 or $6000 coz realistically thats about what its worth.

I mean... check these out for bargains..

None of hem are like... rush out and buy type bargains... Well the blade is pretty close considering how nicely they fighter.. But none of them need $3000+ spent on them to bring them up to spec either...

Its horses for courses I guess...

i guess the only bonus with buying the wreck is that at least you know its been fixed to your standards (however high or low they may be)

those bike on ebay are resprayed, so for me that means they have at least been dropped
but its pretty hard to tell how hard once someone else has fixed it

but then again, that zx12r does look pretty darn nice....
    Rev the fucker!!!!!

Something doesn't quite ring true about the 12.

Maybe the little fuck ups like listing it as a shaftie...or the bullshit mods listed on his other item for sale. Maybe it's even the lack of vin numbers....

Exactly Large you need to have your wits about you buying off Ebay. The only reason I went ahead with the Bandit from Ebay was it was sitting in a bike shop and Matt Mingay is a well known guy. So I could ring him and talk about it then ring the shop in QLD and quiz them too and see if the stories matched, which they did. All in all I feel I got what I paid for, my main interest was in the 1340 motor since it saved me doing a lot of stuff I would have done anyway.
