    ign advancer+jet kit+tensioners?!

    [^]ok, i am lookin at gettin a ignition advanvcer for my '89'gsxr1100,but dont know which one ,+3 or +5 degree advancers,any ideas ,is the fixed back plate or the variable back plate better,or can the std. one be slotted to acheive the same effect,the bike has ivan tighe cams[758 profile],match ported ,three angle seats an larger inlet vavles,single large k an n filter in std air box an a 4 into 2 into 1 exhaust ,also i need a dyna jet kit or factory pro kit which of these two is best[standard 36 mm carbs]any help pleasehas anyone had any trouble with the std.auto cam chain tensioner [^]or tryed the manual ones as i have heard of the std ones not working properly at high r.p.m throttle shut off []

    slot your standard one, i did mine on my 1340 a few years ago, same thing as a bought one but costs nothing cept a little time. im doing the opposite to mine for my turbo motor (retard it 2-3 deg).

    with ya settings as they are go 2* anticlockwise & add a.7mm base gasket[}]cut 3-5mm off ya carb springs3.5 turns out on fuel screws keep ya std. needles[^]install #40pilots with Dynajet mains only at #118replace thre cam chain evry 15k
    if you go clockwise with IG plate you are makin ya power UP TOP[:0] one last thing,get ya slf a IC box from steve at better bikes (SA)off a 88/750

    wicked ,thks mad ,you da man ,with the base gasket is that a .7 by itself or plus the original,an what is a i c unit ,but as it happens steve from better bikes lives only two houses down da road [8D] so i will go torture his grey matter bout this[],by chance have you measured the dyna jet mains internal dia,as i may drill my own ,as i have jet drills[^]

    IC is cdi[)]BUY dyna jet items[^]they have a better FLOW than standard even tho visiblly smaller[:0]

    sorry[?]BASE(easy DAVO) may be made of copper & do away with the std. one.much better heat transfer thru to the gear box[8D]
