Is there anyone in the know on how to retro fit fuel injection system to non injection bike, in Perth
I know a few guys that have done it over here in QLD, but WA is a bit tougher. Morry might know someone. I'll see if I can get him in here.
I know Ben is busy, but he converted the Judge to fuel injection yeah?
Supercharger Mark converted his Z1 and Evad converted his Z650. They're the two I know about for sure. What bike are you trying to convert Mac?
Only try this if you are of very sound mind. It will test you to the limit of your sanity!
Just got hold of a z1000h
But has been converted to carbs and want to fit modern injection on it
Oh. So you want to convert a fuel injected bike that has been converted to carbs, BACK to fuel injection again! Wow, that's a first for me. In theory it should be easy if you can find the original gear.
Has it still got the h- head with the injectors cast into the head ?
I'm getting old. What does W.I.P. mean?
Work in progress?
Welding in Pyjamas?
When is Payday?
Good one Si LOL, Work in Progress in this instance.
It started and ran and I rode it, took it to Dyno, refused to start.
Haltech guy was a Dick and no support and no initial maps for Bikes even though their product states "For Motorcycles"
Haltech are not on my Christmas card list put it that way!
At the end of the day Business and life got in the way so W.I.P. and will get back to it!
Supercharger Mark and Evad managed it. Admittedly without a lot of swearing (well Mark anyway), but it works, and it works well.
If you ask Mark, he would say insane, not clever.
Yip still has h head with castings
Don't want to re fit standard system again .want to go with new
Maybe just sell a kidney and buy yoshi tmr's for it
Deano injected his turbo bandit engine. Autronic ECU ... exy but with great results.
I have read of people converting oil cooled GSXR's with late model GSXR throttle bodies and ECU's
anything can be done it's just how much time/money do you want to through at it?
You might be able to use a late model Kawasaki loom, throttle bodies, sensors and ECU on the z1000h
Fitting the sensors is probably the most pain in the arse bight.
Cam angle
Crank angle
knock
something else
then the other thing too.
Don't forget that one over there.
And Done :)
Why not just return to standard ? . There were only 33 brought into Aus.
Lol can you tell me where to get all the bits to restore a bike thy made 1000 world wide try getting an air box

There is such a high demand for the old school bike these days that you can even get new parts for a lot of them.
redline cycles in usa has a lot of parts for the H. or z1000G classic as it is called over there. Same motor different body.
Have a look on findapart for gpz1100b1 parts, they had the injectors in the inlets and the throttle bodies were only butterflys and tps, airbox was a wierd one with a flap in it. Or you could fit a megasquirt 2 or 3 or microsquirt to run whatever hardware you use. It needs tps, inlet air temp and engine temp sensors.
