Preferred Tyre Manufacturer Poll

Just curious if all of you other members out there are Manufacturer bias when it comes to rubber meeting the road..

Vote away and maybe give a reasoning behind your vote if you have a spare minute..

I myself am favourable towards Pirelli.

*The R1 is sporting Diablo Supercorsas which offer sensational dry grip, not so great wet any very surprisingly has served me about 6000kms that includes 2 x NFRS & an AFR but there pretty shot now..

*The TLS is getting along great on Angel ST's which are just faultless in my opinion. only been on for 1000kms give or take but so far wet,dry & 2 up with Missus and ticks all boxes..

I've had lots of tyres over the years, Michelin, Bridgestone Dunlop etc, but seem to favour Pirelli now days, how bout you?

I'm running pirreli angels on my gix but I haven't ridden it yet I had dunlop gpra11's before that and they were fucking great but wear real quick

Betty currently has mich PR2's a 180 on the rear squeezed onto a 4.5 inch rim once warm loves the tight twistys. havent done heaps of highway km's yet but from the 3000 k's so far looking good .

im running pirelli,,after afr the bridgestones just went to shit and fell apart ,,i had a pilot power on the front for nfr ,and it was rooted after 1500ks,,waiting on a new front pirelli,to match the rear ,

I just love these threads Todd this should be intresting....as for me, not much choice on the fireblade with a 16" front. So it has to be METZELER m3 then anything on the back ( currently a shinko verge rear witch i'm very impresst with )

Loving the shinko stuff. Cheap and sticks like shit to a blanket. I also get good mileage out of them, but I'm not the quickest of riders either. Well at least till I get to willowbank, then it's all stops out.

on my old blade 95 model ,i ditched the 16 n went for a vfr800 front rim ,,was n easy change over ,

bridgestone eager 225/55 R13 on my EH, make good smoke they do...

2nd hand Ntec Dunlops on the race bike, really good feel compared to the Bridgestones i was running, and the Pirellis ran really well didn't tear up or wear excessivley but just didn't feel as good as the Ntec. I think the profile of the Ntec helped a lot.

I quite like the Michelin Pilot 2CT's. The NFR was the fist good ride I gave them and I had good grip round the bends. Gave me a lot more confidence in throwing the bike into turns

i had michelin Pilot Power 2ct on the back and Pilot Pure 2ct on the front of the SV and i loved them in the wet and dry to gave a lot of good grip (not that i ride very hard)

I now have Metzeler M5 on the prilia, not sure how good they are yet cause i've not really ridden it!

Busa's and B-Kings seem to eat them up.

Was going though a few Pilot Powers then Dunlop Qualifiers.

Just put a Pilot Road 3 on, not had chance to scuff it in yet.

I run Pirelli Diablo Rosso's on my gixer & i love em in the dry! Feel a little slippery at times in the wet tho!

Dunlop Q2.

Didnt like the wall flex on the Power Pure (I have one with about 30% - 40% left if someone wants it 190/55/17). I have a Bridgstone BT016 I think it is called on the front and it's a bastard until it gets warm which seems to take forever, then it's very good but a Q2 will go on next.

but the tlr loves pirelli's

for the katana i get whatever fits
normally 30yr old lasertecs LOL

but otherwise whatever is on sale and soft as :)

went from pilot road to the power and now the pure which i think ill stick with suits me and feels good on my bike.

Running BT016s on the KTM. Been using Bridgestones on all my sports bikes for years and never had a problem with them.
