thanks guys, progress is painfully slow without a shed and bubs is getting verry close so the build may go quiet for a bit

I finally got some stem bearings this week, coffee table makes a good bike bench.....

but i am chasing a Mallory sprint magneto like the one below, i know they are not great for the road and have no advance or retard, but i want to play with an adjustable cam gear and see what i can do...

btw mags are kool but there is a reason that every one uses dyna's on these motors :-)

i might know a very well known drag racing motor builder doing some thing tricky with the mag houseing but diff internals :-)
how about just put a super charger on... would look similar and be heaps coolerere!
