Might be an idea lads.. i'll give her a tidy up and see how much it is to powder.. Newcastle Powder & Paint only 35 seconds from my front door :D
While you're there, you can also ask them how much to do the frame too. ;)
As a general rule,do most people powdercoat frames and swingarms,or do they get them anodized?
Or just paint?
Not sure mate, I generally see frames powder coated as its more durable compared to paint.. I suppose you could get it anodized if you wanted, but i think thats usually reserved for smaller components, fork sliders and little bits etc.. I could be wrong.. If I was to do it, I would powder for sure..
This is how it should readQuote:

hmm time to pay thum a visit me spose!!
hey blokes,
if we can get a discount by getting a few done at a time put me down for a frame and swingarm in a satin black ;)
if i could get both done for $300 (assuming ive taken it apart and taped things up) then i would think that would be a good price
Jst depends if u need ur parts soda blasted 1st! From my experience when i had mine powder coated, all the scrubbing in the world wasnt good enuf. The parts need to be super clean for the powder to stick so i wound up having to get mine soda blasted before the coaters would touch it. That basically doubled the price!
Bike is looking tops Gitzy, everything is looking so clean and neat, you'll definately have to powdercoat the frame black, it will look awesome. I can't help but wonder how much better the headlight's would look with the brackets pushed down to sit on the bottom clamp with a black or dark-smoked screen, Buell lightning style. plus then you'll have somewhere to hide your dash. Again nice work mate. cheers
hey heres a tip for you ,dont drop your oil to change your clutch, you just lean your bike over ,depending on what side cover your taking off ,wheather it be left or right side, hope this helps
As much as I want my frame blacked out, I'm putting it in the too hard basket at the moment, I'll be happy with a nice clean raw R1... as time goes on, I'd love to go down the black everything route and sssa with car rim... not a bad idea Drewboy but i'm not completely sold on little screens, although i did like the one on the old mans buell lightning, cheers Pete, needed an oil change anyway.. but since i've changed it I had to take cover off again anyway to fit cometic gasket, R1's really good the clutch is way higher than the oil so no need to lean over..
Hey Gitzy, I just checked for Powder Coating myself. It's only gonna cost $120 for the frame and swinger in Satin Black
The advantage is that I will blast the parts myself at work in the glass bead blaster. Too bad u don't live in Vic mate
Awww thats pretty damn good.. So you gonna get yours done now Jules?
Soon. As soon as I get my car all sorted. Need to have 1 reliable vehicle on the road. Then I can strip the bike down
Nothing too major to report.. got my chinesey pazzo's in mail.. dont look half bad.. having had real pazzo's before i would be hard up telling the difference hey.
