Finished off the paint today, decided to give the rocker cover a bit of red to make it stand out

Then wrapped her up to take her home, ready to be mounted int he frame when I get back in a couple of weeks

i prob would have left it unwrapped to let the paint cure well and truly jules
I did Rod, for a full day. Would have left it there for the weekend, but I'm flying out tonight for 2 weeks and couldn't risk leaving it at work.
ahh fair enough a day prob isnt enough really but if you dont have a choice it will have to do mate looks good to mate
A bloke at work got his ute painted a few weeks ago, and the spray painter told him to leave it in his shed, and to not touch it for a fortnight to give the paint the a real decent amount of time to harden. Apparently it takes at least a week for all the thinners to come out of the paint. But no one is that patient to wait a fortnight, before re-assembly, haha.Quote:

looks good wacky i think everything i own has a red rocker cover even my diesel hilux copped it , true about the paint drying time but im sure it will be fine

Well, after 2 weeks of work in Italy, flew out on Thursday and landed in Melbourne today (Sat) at 3am. Was home by 4am and got to bed by 5am. Sold the R1 and then fitted the engine to the Gixxer. Not a bad day considering I just got back :D

Looks good jules the only thing I would do is either get billet covers for the rest of the engine or paint them to suit your new covers cos they look out of place to me
