You're not wrong, now I know why Kawasaki went back to telescopic forks for the c model, the B model USDs weigh a tonne

I was actually thinking Parabola may be a more appropiate name.Quote:

you will have to stop the upgrades to this bike. It isn't very wretched anymore.
fuck those wheels look horn [:p]
Yep shit hot
Sooo much WIN..
[:p]
Cheers Guys.
I want to use the Zx9R triples so I sanded of about 2mm from the inside of the lower yoke tube holders so the forks will fit.
For the top yoke I'll have to make some shims.
I removed a little from the subframe using a mini belt sander so now I can use the larger diameter K4 rear axel.
gonna be a kawasuki soon rod very nice upgrades buddy are you doing anything with the backend shock wise ,i want to do something with mine but dont know what direction to head for a better shock that will fit
Yeah mate, I upgraded the rear shock to a newer one of a ZX6R.Quote:

was it much hassle making it fit ,im pretty sure i need one with a remote resiour as i dont have much room with the battery in my 95750 .i do need to upgrade the rear now the front is done feels average coming from a bike with ohlins front and rear
Nice wheels. When did they rock up?
fark me they look sweeeeeeet mate
Awesome rod
Thanks Guys.
Tim: He emailed me on the Friday to say the wheels were ready, they arrived the following Wedneday.
Pav: Yeah I had to relocate the Battery and remove the old battery box to fit the new shock.
Looks good Rod.
I need to make some shims for the top yoke to fit the fork stems.

I'm thinking 1mm thickness should do the job.
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...a/IMG_1106.jpg]
Or a billet triple.....;)
That would be nice
Those hoops are briljant.
I made some half shims for the top yoke. Too be honest I'm not to sure.

I Made one spacer and rear wheel fits perfect.

The clip-ons are now underneath and flipped the bars.

Still need to find a Zx7R Radiatior and paint headlight
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...d03july001.jpg
That looks awesome rod but I'm not sold on the shims idea I wouldn't ride it like that and I can be dodgy as fuck sometimes
Cheers Rod, yeah I made them from alloy and they seem to have bitten in ok..... but I know what you are saying
That looks wicked Rod, Just with the shims, there has been heaps of blokes swap out the front of there TL and shim the bottom yoke as they are 55mm, and people usually go with GSXR front ends which are 54mm or even 53mm with some really new ones, and they never have any dramas..
Looks great, paint and wheels looks sweet with it all together
And how do you go with your plate not being at the back any additon attention from the nanny state enforcers
Righto then how about using coke cans ....years ago I used to use them on my gokart to make the car by fit the barrel properly ...just cut into strips and fit at least that way you can go all the way roundQuote:

The wheels and forks really set it off.
Rod the bike looks great with the new forks and wheels mate, but yeah them shims arnt safe at all only being half. I wouldnt trust them.
Lookin most awesome brother! U still usin the same headlight???
I've got a different headlight mate.
After sleeping on it, I've decided to shave more off the shims in attempt to fit both sides in.
YaY on both accounts there! :DQuote:

As Rod said mate, don't leave the shims as they are. Just get a thinner material to use and do it evenly all round
Ahh half shims.. I didnt read that bit.. yeah go wrap round Rod.. heaps better..
The way you've got them now would be trying to twist the forks I reckon.Quote:

looking good rod
definitely all-the-way-round shims
i've got half mm (i think) ally ones on the TL and have done thousands of k's riding like a pussie with those on
that said i dont think i would shim top and bottom yoke, but just one would be fine
hmmmmmm Shims........................
Looks good man. You gonna anodise the forks a difernt colour?
Not yet mate, the plan is to get it back on the road for some riding, then after NFR strip her down one last time for a complete facelift including a little powdercoating and some anodising.
