Nice one mate! Be lookin better in no time.
So I got an early mark from work today, and spent the arvo in the garage. I still have a long way to go with this convert. New brake lines are now required, mine arnt long enough. Few other odds & ends needs to complete the front end. Then I'll start on the new swingarm, if I ever get the bloody thing!
For now, here is a look see.
New S3 discs with stainless pro-bolt bolts.

Hey guys, Its been taking my a while to get this bike sorted.
I got my new 2007 swinger, worked out what I need for fitting into the frame, but have no pic's yet.
But I got donated to me a new dash board, have fitted that up now, mask is fitted.
I had to extend the rear mountings for the front fender.

New dash board.
More updates to come soon.
Sweet.
nice one man. love the triples! not super keen on the risers, but each to their own.
looking good luke well done mate
So its been in the making a little longer then expected, but its all getting there.
Ben has done a awesome job on making up a fair few suspension parts for this beast.
New dog bone, top mount, triple clamps, machined the hub to correct the chain alighment.
I just need to get brake pads, bleed the brakes, and tidy up some odds and ends and its back on the road!

By the way, I took these pictures before the chain was fitted up as well. Thats another thing ticked of the list of many. Also the new battery tray/plate has been made and installed. The dash is also completely wired now and works.
Cant thank Ben enough for pushing all the parts through with this bike. Cheers again Ben.
whats with the rear upper shock mount ,
Very nice
That looks Senfuckinsationalsuburbalicious.. Top work Lads..
That needed to be remade as there is a mix of 2007 GSXR links off the swing arm with a custom made dog bone to suit the 95 frame mounting, then the top mount needed to be higher in the bike and out alot more to run the shock vertical much like in the 2007 GSXR 1000's. If I used the standard 95 unit, the shock was laying over to close to the pivot joint of the swingarm. It was also jacking the bike up to a very stupid hight.
This new top mount makes everything work and place's the shock in the right place.
bloody love this bike and you know i'm fussy when it comes to streetfighters hey Luke ;)
the swinger looks great ,i like the look of it ,nice job
was there much involved with the pivot bolt from swinger to frame or was it change over the bearings and bolt in
Its not that easy job mate. Its not easy to explain, would have to show you when we catch up at AFR.
done,il buy
Far out this bike has come a long way, and fast. Already one of my fav bikes in ASF, and keeps getting better!

Lads, well its done! New brake pads fitted, bleed and some small details taken care of.

Awesome Work Luke, done work damn good..
Looks great mate, top job:)
Well done mate! Looks good.
Mate that looks horn! Good work!
yep looking great luke, loving the swinger
Thats real nice!!
somehow I missed the last few pages of this thread. The bike looks fucking amazing, a 711 with lighweight wheels and modern suspension is fucking awesome to ride. Make sure you post up your grin after the first "real" ride after the shakedown runs.
Great work.
The bike looks fantastic Luke , the hard work in stripping the swingarm really paid off, it adds a real tough mechanical look & goes with the frame really well, the wheels are awesome as well, very very nice...
Cheers guys, it rides awesome and is very light in cornering and brake are bloody awesome!! The only drama now is that Im looking for a new raidiator as the core on this one is rotten. It sprung a leak in the fins last night and peed itself. Bit of a shit really but the original raidiator was always dodgy.
Any suggestions on a replacement if I cant find another 95 unit to replace it with?
Oh and EXBEN, it couldnt have happened with out your skills with a CNC machine mate, owe a big thanks to you.
I think Lance nailed it with his radiator upgrade
