the roads down there are as sweet as ever (although different when driving a ute and it's snowing!)
LOTS of wombats on the side of the road though, and we had 150kph winds one day, hope we dont get that in summer
it was blowing the signs on the side of the road down!!!
wicked ......cant wait
Yeah there was a double fatality down there yesterday in weather about as bad as that. Went onto the wrong side of the road and didnt know cause it was so shitty.Quote:

Is there some info for first-timers? :P
I'm in, but I don't even know what i'm in for ;)
A bloody good weekend is what you are in for.
Last year was (for the Sydney folk) a casual ride to Cooma on Friday stopping on the way to collect the Canberrans.
Mucho alcohol and frivolity on Friday night. An absolutely fantastic ride from Cooma, down the Alpine way and looping back to Cooma on Saturday. More alcohol and stupidity Saturday night and a casual ride home on Sunday.
A thread on last year's effort:

Ah figured it was along those lines..
So do we sort out accomodation ourselves etc? Can I sleep in the back of someones van? haha
Looking through the other thread now.. the pics alone are enough persuasion
there is an option for those interested of a truck that can carry all of 10 bikes for the more lazy among us
will require a pitch in for diesel though
So is the plan Ride to Cooma on Friday the 13th then back on the 15th?
yeah I rekon thats the Go [:p]Quote:

thats the same weekend as last yr isnt it [just thinking the custom show kept the law off our backs last yr ]
I'm not too sure if this lazy fuck will have the time or the money to have my bike on the road in time this year. If not I'll come along in my ute and carry the gear and some spare fuel 'n shit.
eah 13 to 15'll do ok firm show of hands please
I'm a definite maybe. Will know for sure Monday night.

My dad knows the owner and can vouch for both the reason for sale and condition of the machine...
Ok Weasel, I'm definately coming this year. Is it cool to throw a bag in your truck?
To right mate you can chuck the bike in he back too and ride down listning to heavy metal.
