She recommends detox diets, colonic irrigation and supplements, also making statements that yeast is harmful,

I've watched Janine's show. 3 fat brides. Her dieting method obviously doesn't work in all instances because the majority of the brides didn't lose a significant amount of weight. I suspect they would have lost the same amount simply stopping the booze and softdrinks/lollies/chocolates etc;
High protein low carb does work and is sustainable. I've dropped 35kgs this yr doing that and feel great. I actually get a hangover if I eat shitty high carb foods. I feel it the next day in the gym like nothing else, it just completely stuffs me and leaves me sluggish and lethargic. I still eat my greens and enjoy them, but I don't go for the spuds or bread. I also don't miss them either.
Its this simple calories in to calories burned, doesn't make much difference if its all from celery fat or booze if you eat the same amount of calories its pritty much all the same to your body, it may use it differently and store it differently if you eat more than you need but its pritty much the same deal. Cows get very fat on just grass and lions get fat on just meat n fat, It just us gready fucker eating to much and not getting off our asses much that makes us fat. Humans all over the world use very varied diets because of so many different reasons but in every tribe there are fat skinny and in the middle.

You're right Red, but different forms of food have different energy tolls when the body is processing them. It uses more energy processing protein than it does wholemeal bread or other carbs.Quote:

Oh and the female form considered attractive varies around the world according to food availability. In the West where food is more than abundant we find thin women attractive. In cultures where food is scarce fat or larger women are deemed attractive. There are of course exceptions to this rule. Polynesians prefer larger women as they're perceived to be stronger and able to hold up to the rigours of breeding better. And the Japanese Women find Sumos to be sex symbols.
Me I'll take the middle ground and enjoy a nice comfortable 14-16. I don't like the bruised pubic region the really skinny bony ones cause and I don't have any acro props to jack up the verandah on the super fat ones....
