Paid. I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to attend this but if my payment helps get the numbers up then I'm happy to put that in. Will try and rearrange things and at least get up for the day though.

you're a good egg simon.
The Speed Trip should give a good account of itself Simon.
Good one Stiffy
Si can you update the list please and let us know exactly were we are at so I can talk to Russ and plead our case
If anyone hasn't paid can you get the cash through right now thanks.
Paid
Paid for me, Robson & brad
Only problem I have now is what bike to bring. Do I take the ZX7 cause is a fighter event or do I take the Busa cause its a drag day
Take the race bike
I was thinking that but the 750 is almost as quick so hard choice
Take both , or your all talk. Just like me
Only have one spot on the trailer
Don't you have a ute ? lol

Now to do some sweet talking with Russ or sniff out a few more guys from somewhere?
I have just had words with Russ and this event has been confirmed
BUT
Due to falling short in the rider numbers we are only able to start at 2pm not mid day and will go through till 8pm
Canteen/bar will be operational through out the day
As per every other year there is absolutely no BYO allowed under any circumstance. Part of the deal is we eat Russell's food and drink his beer as just out entries doesn't even cover the wages for his staff for the day and if he looses money out of the day we won't be allowed back next year.
I don't want to preach but I don't know if you guys understand just how lucky we are to be able to have a private event like this.
If we are not allowed back next year based on behavior this year there is no other track in Victoria that I know of that will even think about taking on a 20 bike event and allow us to camp on site to boot.
Keep an eye on this thread for updates
So should we be happy with what we got (riders) or do we look outside the club for others ?
Lets not fuck this up guys.
I have a great time at this event (as I'm sure you do as well) and we need to make something of it.
Hopefully we can make it bigger and bigger.
If we can get a few more that's great but we can go ahead with current numbers
There isn't too much fine print to read but a few Q's to clarify.
1. Wet weather / wash out. Will there be a postponed event, refund or cancellation with forfeit of monies? or cross that bridge when we get to it?
2. $130 is the only cost with no CAMS or MV license / fee to pay?
3. Scrutineering....Just so there aren't any tantrums on the day what are the minimal requirements as set out by the operators of Heathcote?
4. Is it one entry fee for as many bikes as you can fit in a semi trailer or is the entry fee payable per bike? ( only ask for others that had this issue on the first event)
5. Who is doing the pizza run? Or is there deep fried catering into the night? Perhaps we could make it easier on the venue by taking orders late afternoon so they dont have wastage or staff hanging around. (?)
6. So there are no surprises whats the grog cost so that sufficient cash can be on hand? - I know previously that beer was at RSL prices but those carrying handbags whinged about the cost of Stolli.
7.Why the fuck isn't everyone on this?
Having been at the first event and seeing a very large and extremely angry owner of the Venue in his tattered grundies screaming over the PA at a naked ferret performing a skid near the bar it should be abundantly clear that under no circumstances should any engine be started at the conclusion of the days event.
As Deano put it.....Respect to the venue for having us. Anyone that fucks this up may find themselves down any one of the numerous mineshafts located around the area.
Latheboy...I know that when the flag drops the bullshit stops but in future what would be the chance of getting a dyno on the day? -- next year-ish....maybe.
90% sure ill be comin, ill pay on the day.i think ill be throwing the yzf 750 on the trailer if anyone's interested in takin that home with them on the day it's there's for a $1000 bucks
I had planned on doing a dyno day before the event but time has got away from me.
I have a mobile bike dyno but I won't get it there this year. I might talk to Russ and see if he is ok with me bringing one next year.
Work on drinks at bar prices. $4 a can last year i believe
I entry per bike . 2 bikes = 2 entries
Scrutineering is common sense safety. looking at the rider list every one knows what that is and if you don't you should not be working on a bike
As mentioned the canteen will be open
glad to see the event went ahead , but checked flight prices today and have doubled in price since last month and I wasn't going to book them then if it wasn't a certainty so its just not going to happen this year for me, will just have to do our own west coast one
When we get the confirmation email do we need to print it out? My printer is kaput
gates open at ? racing starts at ? need to plan the drive
Anyone in Melbourne able to lend me a bed for Friday night so i don't have to drive all the way from here on Sat morning?
You can crash here if you want mate.
Gates at 12
As previously mentioned riding from 2
It's a shame, but the need to clarify the entry fees & conditions has become apparent because there's always someone who has to take the piss or cheat the system or both, it states very clearly on the first post of this thread that it costs $130 to ride.
Pretty self explanatory isn't it? No? OK, I'll spell it out for you - you cannot enter yourself as a rider & your mate as a spectator & share 1 bike.
This is not like sneaking into the Campground at the GP - it's OK to rip off a huge faceless corporation, it's not OK to rip Russell off & jeopardise the event for the rest of us.
There was never any intention of ripping anyone off but thanks for that.
And that was cleared up in private this arvo thanks Dean.
I was under the impression it was a bike entry but like I say all cleared up this arvo.
.
Cheers big ears. Seeya next Friday
I'm too lazy to read the whole thread, can i rock up on the day as a spectator or do i need to pre pay?
Still got mates with cars keen. If it will help out fiscally then they would appreciate a look in.
Looks like it's time for my biennial oil change
No cars sorry mate.
Ice. - at this stage prepay through the web store. If you were to rock up on the day I would advise having the exact cash on you
