if u make a recycling line from the bov outlet to the air filter before the turbine, ur gunna have vacuum there all the way, if after the turbine, u will have no vacuum at all, so the only way out is an indepandant air filter on bov

NO, dont worry about what forces are acting on the face of the valve in the up pipe. Its the pressure change on the top side of the diaphram/ piston via the small vacuum line that is important to its function. This small line must be fitted to the engine side of the throttle butterflys so its see both engine vacuum when throttle is closed and the boost the engine is getting when the throttle is open.
So when there is boost acting on the valve in the up pipe, there will be the same boost pressure on the top of the valve (via the small vacuum line), plus the spring pressure holding it shut.
When the throttle is closed for a gearchange the boost pressure builds in the upipe trying to push the BOv open, but at the same time, the top of the BOV is exposed to the engine vacuum from the throttle being closed so this vacuum force pulls the valve open as well.
Yeah, a seperate filter is the only way really, must get around to getting one, or i might just try winding the spring preload up untill its stays shut all the time and see how that goes anyway.
yeah that makes sence to me slingy. you can buy smth like a 36mm air filter, i bought one for my air shifter pump

the ic mods r finished, just may be i'll add a few duct mounts and cut off the holes that arent in use, it weighs in 3.495kg instead of 5.800kg before mods

I like the bungs on each side of the intercooler for AIT sensor. On my data logs you can see the inlet air temp rise and fall with the boost, as the air heats through getting compressed. its not alot at 10psi, like 7 or 8 deg C over the normal inlet temp but interesting to see. And would be cool to actually see the effects of the IC also. Good work Surt.
thanks Jack, i'd luv the iat readings before and after ic to be shown in real time on graphs along with other data like air pressure, spark advance, afr, revs etc. also it would be nice to know the pressure drop comparing readings from the comp housing and tbs, to see how really effective the ic and the whole air supply system are
Heres a screen shot from one of my data logs .
Red line in top row is MAP, Yellow line in bottom row is IAT, so you can see how it follows the boost.
You can see how the iat starts at 39.6 degC and ends up at about 48 DegC so about a 9 or 10 deg change.

yup its awesome to see what actually happens inside and to tune it, would luv to learn reading the graphs like a book, just can't wait!
